Vica, I have climbed with Cosmic, and he knows his stuff. And he's a fine, somewhat polite Christian man.

He's a good person. Let us know when you're about a month from arrival, you will find partners.

Woot!

Vica is, VERY QUALIFIED, to present her argument and case!

Thank you, but I never take advantage of noobs. Mike definitely has problem but not with me.

Chill, I promise I am not :)

The valley can be wonderful or frustrating depending on if you are a glass half full or glass half empty person

I am absolutely a 'glass half full' person. Thank you very much for the advices and information.

don't let the wife know!
I think she knows it :)

Thank you guys worrying about me, I think I hit the jackpot finding Cosmic. Or he found me, who knows :)
And thank you all your support, advice and kidness, I have never thought writing here for advice and help would be such a good and hearthwarming experience.

I have my dates, will be there 24- Sep- 6. Oct.

Wild!

Cosmic, hope you did not sell the 'starter rack' completely. If you did, I can give you mine for such an occasion. *wink wink*

If you will be in the Valley we can hopefully hang again (Dwain), long time no see. The Facelift last year was pretty damn fun.

I am a good company, be relied on, good belayer, punctual, able to organise anything very well, and follow my lead climber anywhere he can climb.

WHat more could a partner ask for. Vica, I climb 5.8/5.9 and the Valley never gets old. Routes like The Grack, Royal Arches, Nutcracker, After Six, Mungineela, Snake Dike etc....are a blast and the location is FANTASTIC....the only issue is that it's crowded. But so is Disneyland and its still fun to visit sometimes!

Good luck out there!

Vica, if you're coming to the Yosemite Facelift for part of your trip, perhaps at the start, we'll do our best to introduce you to the Valley, climbers, and climbing.

And I bet that Vica's English is a hell of a lot better than any Hungarian (Magyar) that you ill-bred louts know.

Vica, Cosmic just called me and asked me to touch base with you and watch out for you at Face Lift. I can't wait to meet you.

You have had several great offers here for you to climb with people like Jeff Constantine. He is great. You have some great offers. You are good to go. Keep in touch and I will be glad to be your friend. lynnie

Thank you for helping me, I am so excited :)

I sent my camp request, hope will have a spared place for me.
I am going to be in Y. little bit earlier before the Facelift starts, one or two days, as I have booked flights yet, means 24.-25- Sept. and going to stay the whole time, and little more after.

Jeff, thank you, I am more than happy :) I sent you a PM, but I am not sure via ST my mail works ( I sent a test message to myself, and didn't go through) so if you didn't get pls give me your email address.

Scott, Mighty Hiker thank you too :)
Lynnie, I sent you a FB request, so you can find me there too.Thank you for your warm welcome :)

And Cosmic... you are simply wonderful.

Vica-

I may be at Facelift if my schedule works out. I would be pleased to climb with you and Cosmic. I'm no longer climbing at my highest level but still "good enough." I also know Lynnie and Cosmic, in addition to most of the other reprobates posting here. I'll be returning from a month in Europe (Dolomites), so I need to see if there are any other matters pressing at home before I make any commitments.

I also speak German, if that would be any help in communicating.

You have struck the right chord for an enthusiastic response from the ST posse. I'm sure your trip will be a rewarding adventure.
You say your comfortable with 5.8/9. I just did a seven pitch linkup in that range you need to put on your short list....Commitment to Selaginella.

When are you going to be in Dolomites exactly? And which part of it? It is not so far anyway, so I may visit you there before Sept. :) I think Cosmic fill you informatoin about his climbing or not climbing. Unfortunately I don't speak German, just English and Hungarian, and a very little Spanish and Russian.

PM doesn't work via ST for me, neither if I send, nor if I receive, so I would like kindly ask who wants to climb with me give me your emails address, just in case... and when you have my email you can delete it from ST :)

Donini, thank you, will you be there?

I just realized that it's been 4 years since I was at Facelift! I've seen a few of you guys at various functions and Happy Hours in the Boulder area since, but nothing beats a Meatfest in Yellow Pines! I'm getting stoked!
