My wife Penelope and I stayed at the Brittle Hut two weeks in May of 2013 and scrambled several portions of the Cuillin Ridge. Weather changed on us and we didn't attempt the whole thing. But the route is do-able even for us old folks, if the weather cooperates just a bit.

The Isle of Skye is an amazing place. We will go back, maybe next year.

BTW On one of our scrambles we met the two guys who were setting up cameras on the ridge below the Pinnacle and told us they were filming the
Macaskill bike movie..It was great to talk to them about it.

I did the whole Cullin ridge in the isle of Skye in the summer of 1974...I was 19 years old. I think it was 13 miles long..We did some climbing and rappelling to stay on the ridge proper and hit some of the awesome summits on the ridge...We did it over 2days..It was super cool. Then we went down to the pub and everyone drank.

I've a couple blocks to my little neighborhood liquor store and went home and got a little high on the Isle of Skye with a buddy named Talisker. I think I'll name her wee glass companion the Cuillin glass..

Yeah, the Danny MacAskill world is akin to planet Honnold; similar language, terrain, head and 'tude, just different.
