Patagonia exploratory climbing at it's finest....more, "hopefully" much more, later. God (figure of speech) am I glad I won't be in Estados Unidos for the monster's coronation!

Looks complex, I like the flying buttress to the snow. All those pinnacles on the ridge look like a nightmare.

How 'permanent' is that snowcap climber's right? Looks to be a big boy calved off and perched like an erratic waiting for the party pushing the 'easy' option?

You're looking at 1000 vertical meters of terrain to give you scale. Going there today....a good window tomorrow to get a load up to the base. No window for the climb yet.

Is this the rock feature to the left side of Cafe Cortado?

Is Norm right about the preferred route?

I find myself thinking and speculating a lot about your plans.

Keep us posted.

Warbler: You are so adept at sarcastic wit that I presume you already know that it is "summer" right now.

Just back from another recon and carry to cache. Hampered by high (make that very high) winds but kinda fun in a perverse way. Looked at the proposed line from a good vantage point thru swirling snow at 2,200 meters...not one for the timid!
Everything in place....just waiting for a good window.
