Around 1AM this morning I sat down and started firing through all 11,000 images I had from the work of Ouch! I spent all morning sorting it down to about 500 images plus another 150 animated gifs (that I'll somehow post later).
Most of it was duplicates (five or ten times over in some cases). A ton of it was stock images for ST members, his family, etc. ALL of it perfectly normal stuff. Well... it was up until he started applying his handy work.
And seriously... was this ever published?

Yah, thanks a bunch nature for bringing OUCH to life again. Miss him. Folks at work always wondered what all the outburst of laughter were about, coming from my cubie.

One thing that is missing that we can never really get back is the context many of these cartoons were posted in. He often times had something to add with text to the image. And then of course there was the posts that followed.
Another thing that's sort of interesting is that many of these single cartoons "lived" in a directory with 20-30 other stock images. You can sort of see the way he was thinking.
It's impossible to figure out how many we're published and how many were not. I know I missed some but this feels like I got most. Of the 1100 or so I've pulled out it's clear many were just part of the process or not finished.
He was obsessed with us. He loved us. And we made his life better until his final day.
Glad everyone is appreciative.

I've been laughing my ass off for the last couple of hours. Ouch had such a great sense of humor. Lots I have seen, but also many that he did not publish.
His humor often took the heat out of many discussions. He made the Taco stand a better place.
Thanks Nature.. Big time kudos.

Not sure I should admit I recall some of that context...ha ha.
Great stuff. Thanks!

His tenure marked the golden years of Supertopo, for sure.
I fed him a few straight photographs for the treatment, and he did hilarious work with them!

Nature noted: "One thing that is missing that we can never really get back is the context many of these cartoons were posted in." Often folks would be all but yelling at each other over some stupid issue and Ouch would interject a perfect cartoon that which both sides would laugh about. Good man. Thanks Nature!

Thanks Nature, both for creating this thread and for the bump.
There are some things in life we should never let go of...and Ouch!’s creations are at the top of the list where the Taco is concerned IMHO.
