This is in pretty good condition considering it is a 23 year old guide book. I has a little scrap on the front which is about the worst of it.

Can't believe what amazon is asking for it????
https://www.amazon.com/Southern-Sierra-Rock-Climbing-Sequoia/dp/093464151X

Make me a reasonable offer and its yours.

Happy holidays

The rock is choss, the views are sh#t, it is crowded with as#@&%es, there is poison oak, uncontrolled violent population of bears and a did I say the views are sh#t because of the giant trees everywhere?! Don't climb there!

This guidebook has very little value anymore, aside from historical/collector reasons.

If you look carefully on ST, you will find a link to a scanned version of the guide. This will cost nothing.

Also, if you check out Daniel Jeffcoach's excellent website http://www.sekiclimbing.com/,
you will find modern topos of many areas covered in the old SEKI guide.

Finally, there is a new guidebook coming out for Courtright, again making that section of the old SEKI guide obsolete.

The only area not covered with these new resources in Kings Canyon, and the old guide itself does not have very much.

looks easy from here

My investment is improving! Spent $1 at the thrift store, it was going for $60 on Amazon at the time:

Thanks everyone for your reply's.

Vitaliy thanks for proving Nanobody's point. However I think this book still has a ton of values for many reasons.

I am hoping y'all are still carrying the seasons blessings.

I bought my first copy for $280, scanned it, then sold it for $350. The price has been going up and down and it looks like it's going up again.

I'd make you and offer but it won't be close to what you can get on amazon because I mostly like to have a few copies around to loan out.

Make a trip and get some use out of it before you get rid of it!

Keep it. Take or send it around and have the folks that put up some of the routes sign it. Get Herb and Eve Laeger's, Carson's, Loomis', Greg Vernon's, Dwight Kroll's, EC Joe's, Barry Chambers', Pat Paul, Rene Ardesche... the list goes on.

Pretty much any of these guys can be trusted to return it if you include a postage paid self addressed envelope. Actually if you send it to Pat Paul he'll get Ron's signature.

Of course the only way this will work is if everyone knows you're not doing it for personal profit, but rather to auction it off for a cause; Access Fund, ASCA, etc.

Starting bid $1,000. At the right event it'll get a bidding war.

edit: If it'll get in the $300's naked, start the bidding at $1,500 or more. It'll go.

Thank you Vitaliy. If anyone should know how wonderful it is back there it would certainly be you!!!!

I was going through my books and realized I had 2 of them. I do what I can to give back to the community, and I appreciate the suggestions but I can use the money.
