Not related to climbing but most definitely to the kindness of strangers.

Forty-three years ago, as a young soldier, I boarded a PanAm 747 in San Francisco for a very long flight to a year long assignment in Seoul, Korea.
I was traveling in uniform and seated in the middle of a row near the rear of the airplane. About an hour out of SF, a flight attendant approached and instructed me to follow her because my seat had been changed.
She reseated me in an aisle seat in the First Class section of the airplane!
I can still see her face and kind smile.
