Bob, your first link is to a two sentence investopedia page about insurance company loss development. How in the world do you construe that as some nefarious part of your capitalistic
cabal? It has nothing to do with profits or losses in the Bolshi sense you imply.

Yer second link is to some illiterate Bolshi web page (wheresmyfreestuff.com)that cherry picks
a few ripe phrases to get all frothed up about making the mindless assumption that the FDIC
is conspiring with the evil capitalists to perform financial alchemy at the public's expense. The
FDIC's 'loss-share'program is designed to minimize the taxpayers' losses when banks go
under. Yer Bolshi interpretation is completely erroneous. You do know that the FDIC's
mandate is to insure bank customers' assets, don't you? Would you prefer that they just
ignored the problem and let every ma and pa lose everything when a bank goes under?

"Through June 30, 2015, the FDIC has entered into 304 shared-loss agreements with assuming banks on initial asset balances totaling $216.4 billion. Assets currently covered under loss share total $39.7 billion. The estimated savings exceed $41 billion, compared to an outright cash sale of those assets."

That's pretty small potatoes by anyone's accounting methods. The Pentagon blows through
that much money in a day or two.

"SLAs (shared loss agreements) are one way the FDIC can resolve the assets of a failed bank,
and may not be the best alternative for every troubled bank."

You're the big gubmint lover but you don't think the gubmint should try to save the taxpayers'
money? Wow!

I suggest you read up on the SLA program from the horses's mouth, not some Bolshi jackazz'
mouth.

Jon Beck, I don't know how big the corporations are that my CPA services but seeing that he
graduated Summa C#m Laude from USC I kinda think he knows what he's doing. That sheepskin has resulted in a waterfront house he can tie up his yacht to, but then I'm sure that
wouldn't impress you.

BTW, you accounting geniuses still haven't answered my question of how long corporations
can survive without reporting earnings that keep their share prices afloat. I'm also still all ears
as to how the 28 MILLION small businesses and 18,500 companies with 500 or more employees
actually socialize their losses. I would love to get in on this scam so please provide some
specifics, not yer tired Bolshi rhetoric.

Where did I say that, all I say is that they privatized profits and socialize losses, been going on for years and years and call it what ever you want, once the government gets involved it is no longer private. Pretty black and white to me.

I also read your link, the government pays...that is not private.

I'm most irresolute, on this Pearl Harbor Day

These things I do not know the answers to
Nor do I claim all the knowledge of or solutions for
These issues to which
Some have hardened opinions about;
Our 'fearless' leader
God or it's omnipotence
Nationalism
Pro choice or pro life
Sexual orientation
Progressivism
Socialism
Native American Sovereignty
Borders
Women's Rights
Civil Rights
Racism
Animal Rights
Climate Change

My rebellious nature
And lack of trust for institutions and authority
Leave me at a loss
And a lack of faith
In my fellow man
For which I remain at unease

Of these things I do not know
But believe I have an instinct for;
Will this fledgling leader kill us all
Or only suck America's spirit dry?
Expecting only the latter
I dread the former
As that thought informs my very essence
Of what my be required
For myself and mine
To survive in the short term

It's a dread forecast
And unhappy but I won't deny it
Sticking my head in the sand
Or heralding in the new stupidity
Like so many of our citizens
Cocksure and arrogant
That they know what the hell is going on
Blindly trusting the Fuhrer
And in doing so are complicit

This I can't and won't condone
So be it
I don't and won't believe in the guy
Time magazine hero
Or not
Despot or war criminal of 2017, possibly.

anyone else find it ironic that Lord Tweeter Trumpo takes a 50 Billion $ offer from a Jap the day before Dec 7?

Of course. Conservatives will be emboldened now that they have (potentially) much more political swing weight.

It seems to me these things move in sine waves. Up and down, but forward over time. Just when one polarity thinks they've won, that matters are settled, WHAM!

The raw slap in the face of reality comes down hard.

It goes on and on.

Things cycle, sure. But a lot of damage can be done during that time. The monetary cost of the Iraq war (direct plus straight forward indirect cost like health care for injured veterans) is well over $2 Trillion plus over a hundred thousand lives lost (without trying to apportion blame for deaths outside of Iraq).

Climate change is like smoking cigarettes. Quitting doesn't undo the previous damage.

And I happen to believe that a functional, liberal (in the classic sense) democracy is a rather fragile thing. Just like you can go years without doing maintenance, by running down previously invested capital, I think the same thing can happen to our institutions.

Trump's virtual reality populism is going to be hard to recover from.

No, that detail alone would not impress me, there are plenty of pieces of sh it with yachts who live on the coast of California.

As for socializing your losses, you will have to tell us what type of business you operate and how many employees you have. It really is not that hard to figure out.

@Cough@ did you mean, SECOND, to the last post on any political Moose? LOL. Quote:
"My last post on any political thread here. We are FUBAR. Forever. That's the end of The Great America. Thank you, angry white men and lazy liberals. As for the people that were certain of the "land slide" victory of HC, you guys really need to open your minds. You lost your credibility and showed how much out of touch you are. Why do you think anybody would listen to you?

Have a nice time in your echo chambers, everybody.

I didn't imply we paid for your education. I said you should be more grateful to be here. Boo hoo your corrupt politician lost and a corrupt businessman won. Your post implying "angry white men" are a problem is nothing more than a racist generalization. Your just parroting political rhetoric. I am sure your contribution to phamacetucal companies was good. However your anti American views are seriously offensive considering you are benifitting from a country that was gracious enough to let you live such a lifestyle. Not to mention you reaped the rewards of the US without sacrificing or contributing anything- we just let you in.be more grateful

Surprise: trump picks a fossil fuel whore to head the EPA. So much for his "interesting" meeting on climate change with Al Gore.
