David Robert's writing inspired me when I first started climbing 25 years ago and they continue to thrill me today.

Mountain of my Fear and Deborah were two of the first climbing books I read, at around age 13 or 14. To say they were influential in my life is an understatement. David's writing to this day always amazes me by its smooth telling, unexpected insights, and the memorable individuals he's chronicled over the now many decades. He never stops until he's laid bare the balanced and essential truth of a story: a person's motivation (the good and bad), their errors, failures, and perhaps successes. With his singular tenacity of purpose and his constant, belligerent quest for a true-as-can-be recounting of the Never Known, in the Arctic or the Desert Southwest - or to repair an incompletely told tale like Annapurna - David Roberts has passionately crafted his own literary Alaskan peak by giving his readers so many remarkable stories that are always well-told.
Thank you David ! from Ed

Nicely penned yourself, and welcome, Ed Webster!
Yeah, I follow DR's facebook posts. Tough stuff, but, beautifully penned.
