Otis Spann can sing wonderfully (heard him a couple times), but if we're on boogie:

OK, a little embarrassing and not in the same universe, but kind of important to me when I was growing up:

On 29 August 2006, legendary Aussie rocker Billy Thorpe held a benefit Concert for his long time friend, former fellow Aztec & pioneering guitar hero Lobby Loyde, who had been diagnosed with lung cancer, to help his family with medical expences etc. Thorpe assembled a who's who of 60's & 70's rock, some bands reforming for the first time in decades, to honour the now ailing musician, now in the final stages of the disease, who was not expected to be well enough to peform himself. However to the joy of the 1,000's who packed The Palace, Loyde played with 3 of his reformed bands that night: The original Wild Cherries, The 70's era Aztecs & for the finale, Lobby & his notorious Coloured Balls played his signature showcase "GOD (Guitar Overdose)", defiantly playing as though he was perfectly well..it would however be Lobby's last ever performance. By the end of the 10 minute epic, there would have barely been a dry eye in the house as the audience roared their approval, especially when Thorpie came on stage to pay one last tribute to his mate. Little did we know at that moment that both would be gone by April the following year, nor that Lobby would indeed outlive Billy by 2 months RIP Billy RIP Lobby

"Do ya wanna boogie...boogie woogie woogie with me?"
David Bromberg is so obscure that I can't even find his ass now which is a low down cryin' shame. These lyrics anyhow...
Old Folks Boogie no problem...
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q_nFwwjBlEc
Off our rockers, actin' crazy
With the right medication we won't be lazy
Doin' the old folks boogie
Down on the farm
Wheelchairs, they was locked arm in arm
Paired off pacemakers with matchin' alarms
Gives us jus' one more chance
To spin one more yarn
And you know that you're over the hill
When your mind makes a promise that your body can't fill
Doin' the old folks boogie
And boogie we will
'Cause to us the thought's as good as a thrill
Back at the home,
No time is your own,
Facillities there, they're all out on loan
The bank forclose, and your bankruptcy shows
And your credit creeps to an all-time low
So you know, that you're over the hill
When your mind makes a promise that your body can't fill
Try and get a rise from an atrophied muscle,
And the nerves in your thigh just quivers and fizzles
So you know, that you're over the hill
When your mind makes a promise that your body can't fill

Right you are zBrown!I thought that Bromberg wrote that one and I would be strutting the poodle if I took credit for the other Stephen Grossman's work.
