A couple weeks ago the 15 day weather report indicated a 20% chance of showers in JT on Sunday (yesterday). Perfect roofing weather till then. So I determined to get my roof finished by Saturday night. Turned out to be a good move.

I love a good thunderstorm. We were severely short changed this year west of Boulder.
From a couple years ago, during Steely Dan at Red Rocks.

We've been enjoying light scattered late-afternoon thunder-showers today.
Then an intense hailstorm just finished rolling over us. The weather forecast didn't mention a possibility of hail, as recently as 30 minutes ago, or we would have put our cars in the garage. Hopefully the, up to 1/2" sized, hail didn't dent them up.
What fun! for us to experience a late October lightning & hail storm. We must be very lucky!

Woken @ 5:30 this morning in Balboa Isle, CA by huge lightening flashes. For over an hour the lightening went off about every 30 seconds. Crazy, beautiful. Do boats have lightening rods? lynnie
