Pretty amazing. Apparently there's a climber somewhere on the face of Half Dome, and although I haven't looked super closely I'm sure there are some parties on El Cap as well.

Pretty sweet technology though.

I got a very high-res El Cap image I found online done into a huge poster for my kid. Something like $40 and a really nice result.

Spectacular, thanks for the link. Did you check out the high rez time-lapse? Reminds me of the feeling of anxiousness when you look down, see the west rim shadow creeping up the SW base, and still have pictches and pitches to go before you rest. 'We didn't cross the shadow, the shadow crossed us!'

Fantastic site. (Not so fantastic for our dial-up friends, maybe...) If it's reasonably permanent, maybe there should be a conspicuous link from the ST site to it - a good resource and inspiration.

Boy, look at some of those crack lines on the right part of the Half Dome shot. Wonder where the original Salathea route goes??
