mouse from merced : thank you

Spider Savage : I was in California and visited Yosemite several times many many years ago - wonderful… no words good enough for it!

Gnome Of the Diabase : I tried hard to imagine all that…

donini : Thank you donini - Yes, I admire both of them, the hero and the anti-hero - both great men

I meant to post this answer to all the kind friends who showed their appreciation for the Italian translation of Warren Harding's DOWNWARD BOUND, in the WARREN HARDING previous page -
Why is it in a new page? How can I connect the two pages? Thanks for your help. m.t.

Great cover!

I only met him once, and he had a gallon of wine in his hand. I will always remember that meeting- about 50 years ago.

How can I connect the two pages? Thanks for your help. m.t.

Hi Mirella: You have the option of viewing any thread in 20-post increments, or of seeing all posts in one long page. Just above the first post on any page, at the right-hand side, there is a button saying "Show All". Click that and you will have the thread in a single page.

And yes, I have great memories of our time at Casa Machiavelli. I remember that after my presentation, someone in the audience asked me what books had influenced me most as a climber, and I said... "Downward Bound."

Mirella, Harding's strongest partner on the original ascent of The Nose is still alive, Wayne Merry; he posts on SUPERTOPO occasionally using the name "fossil climber". He lives in Atlin, BC Canada. Also, Loyd Price knew Harding fairly well I think.

hey there, say, ... also, if you want the poster to
show on the 'first 20' of the so-called-first-page...

you can go to your very FIRST post, and hit edit,
and then, ADD the photo, and just
rehit the 'post this reply' ...

that way, the poster will show TWO TIMES...
once on the first post, and the other on the
'apparent' second page, on THAT POST, :)

do NOT change or alter your original post though...

all you do is, once you hit edit:
just 'hit photo' and add it...

:)
