It some what sounded like she went into ketoacidosis in that article on her prior ascent.
She May have had a repeat????
Speculative obviously

In layman’s terms her diabetes went haywire and this lead to her unfortunate demise?
The other alternative would be hypoglycemia (low blood sugar).

We will probably never know for sure.
