Jolly Ranchers really work.
Also, have you considered the strain of the sports medicine that you're using at belays. (I've heard that) indica is more thirst inducing, and also makes it difficult to muster the energy to leave the belay.
Take a big bag of Jolly Ranchers and dial in those sports medicine systems and I think you'll be good.

Native Americans put a small smooth stone in their mouth. Sucking on it kept the salivary glads just active enough to prevent dry-mouth. And learn to be a nose breather. Mouth breathing loses so much water.

I used to have issues with dry mouth. Also was a mouth breather. Turned out I had a deviated septum. Surgery made a huge difference. Also cut down on my snoring and sleep apnea. Could you have a similar problem?
My test results did not indicate that my septum was that bad, but because I was going on six months of around the clock headaches I was qualified for surgery. Tell your doctor about your issues, not us taco turds.
