I haven't seen it mentioned on this forum but just out is a spectacular new full color rock climbing guidebook of the new and the classic amazing multi-pitch routes in the Cascade Range of Washington. So many great climbs with approach and route beta all current. Most of the climbs are wild looking.. Liberty Bell, Index, Stuart Range, on and on.. My bucket list just imploded.
Here's link to the guide.. http://cascadesrock.blogspot.com/
I couldn't put this guide down once I picked it up. My hat is off to the author Blake Herrington, amazing job.

Dude, don't get too excited - good camera angles on the 20 good days a year don't make
for truth in advertising. :-/

Reilly: with all do respect, due to climate change, I don't believe it rains here as much as it did.
And I agree, Mr Herrington did a great job covering some beautiful climbs.

Dayum straight Reilly. And who cares about Northwestern choss.
What matters is we stay focused on discussing how Hillary is better than Trump who's better Obama who's better than Bush who's better than Gore.....
Politics on a climbing forum matter!!!
Thanks for posting, Studly. Looks like an excellent addition to Cascade climbing.

There's a serious lack of sarcasm appreciation here. But, seriously, aside from the Stuart
range the rest is just varying shades of choss, NTTAWWT! It's character building.

Reilly's right. Other than Mt. Stuart and a couple of adjacent peaks, there's nothing worth climbing in the area covered by the new guide. And anyway, it rains all the time.
Need an example? Just look at this choss. You can hardly see the rock through all the rain, but what a junk pile!

You won't see anything from me. I think. I did get a communication from Blake and think I sent something but didn't hear back. Quite appropriately.

I was in Greenland when this thread got going, but I got sent a link by a friend. What a treat to read through this!
Thanks for all the kind words and good luck on the climbs everyone! This book was a labor of love (and of... labor) but I'm glad to be done with the creation of it! I'm doing all the sales and distribution myself - and selling them via the site I set up for the book.
