Hmm... Housesitting out in El Chalfant and can't see any of that smoke. Hearing about it from my Mammoth posse though. :-/ Hope they knock it down ASAP.

Taken from the y in Bishop about 15 minutes ago. It looks like multiple starts to me. There's not enough wind for it jump that far. I hope I'm wrong.

I took a drive out Owens River Rd this afternoon and its burning at the Archilarius Ranch property and running up Bald Mtn. It doesn't seem to be affecting Clarks Canyon yet.

Thanks for the update, Dean. Big smoke over the Sierra crest east of Bishop this evening. Hope they get it nailed down soon. Clark has seen enough damage already, damn it.

Owens Rivwr fire. This fire is running in every direction. Burning right through the previous burn and retardant lines. Climbers evacuated from Clark up to Bald mt lookout. USFS getting out some of the cars if they have keys. I was not working the fire but was down there for awhile. No one can really do anything relying on air attack and focusing on structures so far so good structure wise.

10b4me that is my guess. Initial report put the start right at the edge of the previous fire. We'll see.

Air attack est was 3k acre at 6pm. They're gonna hit it hard with even more air tomorrow...and there was more air than engines today. Hopefuly they get resources up here to start getting a line in tomorrow. They ordered the world but We're just a long ways from help.

4500 acres and 10% containment.

How bad is Crowley right now? I was gonna go up to Laurel Lakes to do some fishing. Is it completely smoked out?

Thanks Crag

I can see it settling over the Wheelers from my house. Guess I'll just go up to South Lake later after all the tourons leave.

In that Mammoth Mtn cam, it looks like there are two fires, separated by a ridge.
