It's so fun to see Cragman on here mocking people who are genuinely dismayed. People who are confused and hurt, maybe even emotionally raw.

Look, you guys engaged in years of strident overreach, so confident in your echo chamber that this nation had swung full libtard, so self-assured that nothing could derail your train steaming straight into the promised land of America becoming just another European socialist democracy (ESD).
Here's the heads-up that you should really, seriously consider:
Trump has been arguably the worst candidate the Repubs could have put forward, a guy every bit as odious and vile as Hawkeye now attributes to us. He is a disgusting human being! A turnip would have been better!
But he trounced your gal! This was the sort of electoral landslide you were CERTAIN was going to go the other way. He won states that Hillary could never lose. And you libs literally can't get out of your echo chamber enough to get your minds around HOW that happened and what it means for your agenda. A complete pile of snake-sh|t trounced your gal, which SHOULD have told you how SHE is perceived and how distorted your own perceptions of her have been.
YOU embraced that turd and tried to polish it and foist it off on us. YOU said nothing as she rigged the primaries to ensure that people like me had NO good option. YOU railed on all of us that expressed that we could not abide how she wore her corruption on her sleeve like a badge of honor. YOU even tried to foist off on us that there was no good evidence of her corruption.
America has resoundingly repudiated all of the above, and done so with an electoral system that already leaned in your favor. America flatly chose a pile of sh|t over your polished turd.
Even now, you insist on acting like you have some high moral ground. You don't. It has been your OWN years of stridency, abusive rhetoric, triggering, corruption, and flagrant overreaching that has proved your demise.
Hawkeye, search your OWN soul. Mine is just fine, thank you. Oh, and MOVE to some ESD rather than whine here. There are many options for you. You'll find the safe space you seek in one of them, I'm sure.

But then Hawkeye (to my knowledge) doesn't claim to be "Christian."
How about you? You claim to be Christian, don't you? And you mix it up in these discussions plenty. But you do it without being nasty, without trying to rub it in people's faces, without trying to make others feel worse.
I prefer my Christians to be more like you - trying to walk the walk.

I honestly hope that liberals learn something about rhetoric from this experience. If you want to genuinely discuss, at least for my part I am certain we can find common ground and compromise positions. You know, I made that same point several months ago, saying that it was likely that the popular race would be very close. I was laughed out of town by strident liberals telling me, "Dude, you are clueless! Go take a civics class. ONLY the electoral vote matters. And on that front, Hillary is going to win by a LANDSLIDE."
So, right back atcha now. ONLY the electoral vote matters, and on that front, Trump trounced her.
Edit: I just looked it up. She "won" the popular vote by a tiny, tiny margin. Given that she did own the major population centers on the coasts, her tiny margin really should be interpreted as a pretty sweeping loss. Democrats start these elections with huge population-center advantages. So she should have done much, much better even on the popular vote. Huge swaths of non-coastal America flatly rejected her. And across demographics. In fact, white women proved to be a huge problem for her.
