EdwardT - great except untrue. It's more of a laundry list of abject hysteria from the fringe-right.

Now all he needs to do is expose all those criminals hiding in the District of Criminals destroying the world ......

The majority of Americans and other first-world countries don't want to see it. That dark underbelly that lends complete credibility to the Great Satan moniker is a tough thing to acknowledge. It is far easier to deny the truth and continue down the path of destruction because it's comfortable for some. Killary has a uterus after all, she must be good.

The American farce perpetuates itself with all kinds of mythology and rituals."Elections" are a good example. People delude themselves that by coloring circles on paper that anything can change and that they have a choice.

The belief that one person, be it a president, king, dictator, Shah can really affect much in a large society is another myth. People still believe Hitler was the reason behind what happened in WWII. That an evil little man with a loud voice somehow 'caused' everything. The truth lies in financial and material support beneath such people, never the charismatic puppet themselves.

healyje! You are sharing some good & rational thoughts this morning.

Thanks for taking the time to put it all in print!

Again, the gop died and what has replaced it is the fringe-right which is essentially dominated by a mass persecution-complex, hysteria and hate. Rational thought is out the window replaced by an almost pentecostal, speaking-in-tongues form of tabloid politics.

The hysteria on display in Riley's posts and that woman's talk of revolt are symptoms of the disease which has taken hold of the right.

Thinking republicans like some here and folks like McCain, Bill Buckley and David Brooks are now political refugees adrift at sea without a party. If anything, they are conservative democrats by today's standards.

Bottom line facts:

It sounds like somebody is crying a bit over the fact he's going to be paying his real soon ;).

Quite the opposite. Like many others, I'll be looking into Trumps tax returns looking for tips and tricks.

Hopefully, that just burns some of you retards up.

The guberment's jackboot response to the Nov 9th revolt of the #mineistheonlylifethatmatters movement should be amusing.

Escopeta, something tells me that the sorts of tax avoidance machinations a person such as DT has available to him are out of reach for a person such as yourself. It just seems unlikely to me that you are posting on ST in between transactions within the structure of multinational real estate dealings.

Escopeta, so, exactly what non-military, strategic foreign policy do you think isn't being addressed. I mean you're the one saying we lack it - so what is it that's missing?

The Great Lawrence weighs in...

http://www.newyorker.com/news/news-desk/the-real-nuclear-threat?intcid=mod-latest

"Even the use of nuclear weapons in a “local” conflict—say, between India and Pakistan—would have disastrous consequences. Millions would die in the initial nuclear exchange, of course. But the residue from the nuclear blasts would also produce long-term climate changes that would affect global agriculture for perhaps a decade, killing as many as a billion people through starvation."

btw, note Lawrence Krauss is a physicist who (a) "believes in" getting involved in national and world sociopolitics and (b) doesn't balk about it and/or doesn't find it uninteresting; and (c) doesn't hesitate about expressing his viewpoints because like many others is also a human being, first and foremost, and is passionate about culture and civilization and the directions they are taking.

"How has a country that has benefited—perhaps more than any other—from immigration, trade and technological innovation suddenly developed a strain of anti-immigrant, anti-innovation protectionism? Why have some on the far left and even more on the far right embraced a crude populism that promises a return to a past that is not possible to restore—and that, for most Americans, never existed at all?"

Seriously, I'll give that a 10/10 for disingenuous. Good grief.

to benefit from tax strategies of the wealthy, one has to have some income, either credits or debits or band together with some who do.

Interestingly enough it looks like I will get to do some Trumpian NOL deductions this year, as my new LLC wine analysis business will lose money. Ha! Never thought I'd be emulating Trump on taxes.

And yes, he is a shithead.

Edited to add: I will be paying taxes, just not quite so much.
