Its a shame that politics, which could be civilly debated, brings out the worst in so many here.
The larger role that government plays in everyone's lives, the more critical politics become.
If we don't reverse course and start shrinking the size and role that government plays in the average american's lives, there will be blood.
I hope its after I get to spend whatever retirement savings the government sees fit to allow me to keep.

Holy sheeit! I haven't been visited by the FBI, DEA, BLM, Hillary Clinton, Trump, the Selective Service, or the IRS in years.
I must be too far off the grid.
I do think there is an overabundance of government agencies though.
We'd probably be better off to just let private industry make all the decisions and disband the government altogether.
They'll do the right thing, right?
Smoke 'em if ya got 'em, bitches.
When the great uprising occurs there are gonna be a lot of dead cowboys and it won't be from lung cancer.

The autobiographical post was interesting Raducal. I followed right along and didn't skip to the next post until I finished yours.
My brother moved to Texas (his wife grew up there) for similar reasons.
Houston. It's a long story, which I would never tell here.

Good stuff Radical
You're posts are not sterile, dried out, dead and worn out but show a huge zest for life that includes so much of humanity.
Thanks .....

Its a shame that politics, which could be civilly debated, brings out the worst in so many here.
At the same time that you all are calling each other names and speaking ill of each other, a few threads away, there is news of two bold members of our tribe who are either fighting for or lost their lives in an honorable and courageous pursuit.
Seems to me, if these brave men can risk so much to achieve a great and noble purpose, the least those here could do is conduct themselves in a respectful and decent manner over a simple conversation.
"Let us then say the things that make for peace, and the building up of one another."
Good sh#t, Dean!!! I have said prayers for our bothers on the mountain, but I said before, they chose to go there. They knew the risks, and they were high. May God bless them. I will leave that there, in His hands.
I think you may underestimate our little tribe of name-callers. I started a thread http://www.supertopo.com/climbing/thread.php?topic_id=2868190&tn=0#msg2868586
This forum is actually a perfect example of what Sebas Junger was talking about in his book. We are tribal, climbers.
We do have inner conflicts and disputes, but all is meted out 'within the tribe'. And when boldness is required, the strong will rise to the occasion. When compassion is required, that is there too. When it's not done by chix, guys will adapt and assume that role.
Also works the other way. When all else fails, and the guys are crying, women will pick up the slack and do things that would scare the timid.

Sorry about yer friend, Riley.
It;s really hard to explain things sometimes. That f*#king sucks.
My boss at work who I really dislike a lot, and who pissed off EVERYBODY, ALL THE TIME, got cancer in his sinus area. Took him down for 3 months of therapy, but he's pretty solid now.
That coincided with my very heavy drinking phase. I attribute it to work, but it's more likely the other way around. I hit bottom and my boss did too.
He and I both recovered. And we have been working a lot better together ever since. He just has a way better attitude, and I do too!
He just got diagnosed with lung-cancer last week....WTF?????
I don't even know what to tell him. F*#ked up!
EDIT: I DID tell him to munch 1000mg of Vitamin C with 200mg vitamin E, everyday, religiously. For his immune system. That and a positive attitude!
(and whatever the dos tell him)

He apparently pays 6 dollars for a coffee, so he can't be all that smart.
@Radical: don't know if it makes any difference, but this libtard gets his coffee beans from either Mexico or Ethiopia.
