The key issue has now been raised, the election has effectively been decided. Yesterday during a TV interview Marco Gutierrez, the founder of Latinos for Trump--a very large and powerful organization, warned us that unless his man is elected we will be facing very serious problems, such as:

"you're gonna have taco trucks on every corner"

Obviously the best of the many reasons to vote for Hillary!!!!

He's a 'fixer' allright.

And what other 'successful' business man hasn't had multiple bankruptcies throwing away many an investors money, I ask?

I suspect his tax returns will tell a different story than what he markets.

This last point is the disease that has inflicted the Republican and Democratic parties for all time....and why they never get anything done....or simply solve one problem only to create a new one. I think we can ALL agree that this status quo is disgusting, and we are all SICK of it.

It is quite incorrect to blame both parties equally for this. As Mann and Ornstein correctly observe in their 2012 book "It's Even Worse Than it Looks," the Republican Party has become:

"an insurgent outlier- ideologically extreme; contemptuous of the inherited social and economic policy regime; scornful of compromise; unpersuaded by conventional understanding of facts, evidence and science; and dismissive of the legitimacy of its political opposition."

the Republican Party has become....

No debate there!

Meanwhile, the Democrat Party has....

subverted their own nomination process in order to ensure that a short-circuiting tech-IDIOTIC (being charitable) criminal is their nominee.

Uh-huh. BOTH parties have become abominations.

For the sake of argument I will accept your characterization of Trump as pragmatic. But that alone is not enough, he is extremely narcissistic and thinks he knows everything. He refuses to study issues, read about his debate preparation. Trump's trip to Mexico was a joke, his entire foreign policy is going to be a series of grand standing circuses. He is also vindictive, we do not need that sort of person as president.

Hillary knows the issues inside and out. Trump never will, he has never worked an honest day in his life. His success as a businessman is suspect. When we see his tax returns we can talk about it.

ROFL

Hillary knows closed-door, secret-arrangement boardrooms inside and out. Her success as a public servant is suspect. When we see her speech transcripts we can talk about it.

Cragman, I mean this with all respect, but you have fallen prey to Trump's populist approach, hook, line and sinker.

Trump is a chameleon, who will say anything in front of anybody in order to sell them something. If you look back through his years of public statements, he has flip-flopped on more key positions than you can count. (See his earlier position on abortion, for example.) The way he stood in front of the President of Mexico and said one thing, then hours later flipped the other direction, is another prime example of how he will say anything to anybody.

I can agree with you that Trump is outside the Red-Blue box, and though he is likely to crash and burn in November in gargantuan style, the way he has lead the GOP over the cliff just might be enough to shake up the process enough to see a change.

And...I just can't help but believe that you have rationalized this view of Trump because the alternative is beyond comprehension. That kind of shift, too, is exactly what he is counting on.
