The fire has been limited to 566 acres and seems to not be spreading. 5 homes destroyed, as reported so far.
This morning at 1130 Magnolia evacuations were lifted, and just prior to that all the Sugarloaf evacuations are lifted, and both roads are open.
Boulder Canyon above the Mag/SL junction is closed except to BC residents that live east of the falls, but a hard closure exists west from there.
Rockfall in the canyon beyond that point, caused by the fire and firefighting efforts, are apparently an issue. From the published map, it appears the SE tongue of the fire extends almost to Castle Rock.

The two scumsuckers that started the fire while camping illegally will be formally charged tomorrow. I think a lot of folks would be happy to drag them behind a truck for a few miles, if just to set an example for other transients and illegal squatters.

Yes, I finally get to go home. This must mean they are confident that the front across the road from Castle Rock is no longer considered a threat to jump the canyon.

Is fire retardant sticky? I'm thinking about a go on Athletes Feat after they reopen Canyon.

DUMPED here in South Boulder! Good to get some moisture. The fire is 100% contained now. Happy everyone who still has a home was able to go home.

This story is killin' me.

http://kdvr.com/2016/07/21/finding-geno-dozens-plan-to-join-search-for-dog-missing-since-cold-springs-fire/

We've organized a number of teams with IR equipped drones to go search for him first thing in the morning.

I'm bummed it took two weeks before we were asked to help. No idea how effective searching from the air with low-flying IR will be but we're going to do our best. And I truly believe in the potential. There's zero doubt in my mind that this emerging technology can and will save lives. Geno is on my radar.
