I heard on the Bishop radio that Highway 395 is closed in Lee Vining; lots of ugly smoke on our northern horizon... Any one up there have details? Here we go again.

Just found out: it is called the Marina Fire, it's just north of Lee Vining , has burned 350+ acres...

I'm in Mono City and earlier today I posted a closeup photo of the fire in the all purpose wildfire thread. It's gotten bigger since then and there's an evacuation advisory for Lee Vining now.

From Glacier Point today, I could see the smoke plume behind Tenaya Peak.
It's lookin' to be a DUZY of a fire season...
