Came across this thought others might be interested. Knew of Don only through print. Sincere condolences to all who knew him.

It is interesting reading for me to look throught the previous posts on this thread.

My life is poorer for having never met Don Gordon.

Condolences to his friends.

Don told me that he made a couple trips to the Himalaya. Not to climb but rather to visit holy places and meet and see some spiritual masters of India and Nepal. It was quite interesting to hear a man of his climbing stature talk of the wonders of the region and not even mention climbing. He said that by that time he was no longer interested in going climbing but he still loved what it had given him, an inner strength to navigate the unknown. Even at his age, he gave the sublime impression of gentleness and strength.

Ed, do you have any more pictures?

Thank you for the pictures, stories, and links about Don. I only knew him as a Reiki master and teacher in the early 2000s. I hadn't seen him in many years wondered if he was still teaching. He had a wealth of knowledge that benefited his students. I'm glad to now have a picture of Don, and to know that he's remembered.
