How do you tie back up knots if your rope is weighted at the bottom?
Here's my setup: 2 ropes, one with micro traxion and the other with grigri.

I use very similar (cinch + kong duck) about twice a week and dont do backup knots for top roping, just when leading (sp).
i may be walkin the line but have taken hundreds of falls on this and despite being mr paranoid on safety feel cool with it.

Toproping? 2 devices on one line, the other rope is strictly for backup knots.
The 2 devices get changed up from this to that, but 2 traxes work good. I've use a single jumar and backups on the other line and I've had partners bail before and just gone with backup knots only and 3 lockers. Keeping at least 2 clipped in, dropping one when needed. It's much like gym climbing on lead at that point, you're essentially going to take a lead fall onto a knot.

I'll throw in my pic, for what it's worth.
2 lines. weigh the one being climbed on. use the other line for rappel. No back-up knots (the other line is not visible in pic).
Trying a croll vs. microtrax for primary device.

Use prusik back ups above your capture devices. No tending necessary or stopping to tie knots. Prusiks should be smaller diameter by 2mm.
