Hi,
Anyone own one of the devices that ostensibly massages your forearms / helps with recovery?

Is there any real evidence they work?

Anyone able to recommend a particular model?

Is just stretching enough?

Thanks for the input.

I use a mini paint roller. Cost five or six bucks and does help. Deep massage also helps. Like most things, its better if someone else does it, but if you don't have that option, self-massage is better than nothing. At least that's what I hear.

So relieved that my initial read of 'Forearm face massagers' was wrong.

Smart asses about at the TACO. I do like the Armaid. Helped my forearm tendonitis a lot. I found it easy to use and easy to control point of contact and tension/pressure. What can I say? I'm a fan.

Get a regular textured 'tube' roller and it does the rest of your body too.

Stick yer arm between the rollers and these things work great and you can make pasta too!

I deleted my earlier message because I didn't want it to appear next to certain posts, so I appreciate the edit.

Here is the product I was recommending: Shiatsu Massage Pillow With Heat.

Here is my message: One of the best investments I made. It comes with a wall plug AND a cigarette lighter plug. I've shared this with a few people and they enjoyed it. On my four hour drive to/from Yosemite, I get four hours of massage each way. I put it behind my back (upper and lower) and shoulder blades, under left thigh, behind left calf (right too if I were a passenger), or on my lap for my forearms. You press hard to get a deep tissue massage. And it's cheap too! I'm not associated with the seller. Just a satisfied customer sharing a wonderful product with friends.

I'm a sucker for gimmicks, if it will get me climbing like you Mei I want two of them. Unfortunately, I really think I just need to lose 20 lbs first:-) Seriously, it's good to see such strong recommendations on all of these devices, I've always wondered. My climbing buddy is a contractor who developed tendonitis from running pneumatic air tools. I'd bought him one of those rubberized forearm twisters that are effective for that, but I don't think he had any faith it would work and never used it.
