Bottom left: Rawlings, first real glove, got it for my 10th birthday, Rawlings Gold Glove HWeb Pro6 was my main adult hardball glove, Worn out Wilson A2000 XLC, Rawlings Proline glove that I use when playing SS in softball.

I was in the other room more or less listening to the game on the ESPN Spanish language feed, and I heard the home rune call "digale que no a esa pelota!" and the crowd cheering and I thought, great, the tribe are on the board. Too many f*#king Cubs fans in Cleveland tonight.

Tad... missing a couple from when I was 7 to 9.... I think all the rest are there except for another catchers mitt, another A2000 that my brother uses, and a dogshit Spaulding glove I sold because it never broke in in 4 years of trying. It's not like a good glove wears out that fast! The one that is 45 years old I could use in a game with right now!

through HS I had a Rawlings Dave Winfield ... played 2B and 3B and occasional OF ... I wish I knew where it is. My folks' place I'd guess

If it turns out to be a slow game or a runaway (could be a pun there) please weigh in with thoughts regarding the differences between AL and NL! All, serious or chewing tobacco in cheek, appreciated.
Besides the obvious, the DH, the National League requires more thought from the managers, and if you are pitching and wanna play the beanball game, you can get plunked in return.
NL ball is what I prefer. Everyone plays and hits...

^^You certainly have a better eye in this arena, but aren't the ballparks sizes different?

Also,
Because the pitcher hits 2-4 times a game (among other reasons), in general offense is lower in the National League. When offense is lower, teams tend to play "small ball" a lot more, which involves stealing bases, bunting, hit-and-runs, and the like. American League baseball is a bit more station-to-station, trying to get the big hit.

The games at Wrigley -- and I'm thinking mainly about that 1-0 game, but there was another tight game there -- are so much more interesting on account of both teams playing NL rules (no DH, pitcher's spot has to hit).
That 1-0 game was a real-deal chess match. When the cameras panned over to Francona or Maddon, you could literally see them thinking in real time.
By contrast, in the AL, the manager is usually thinking about what pinot noir will pair well with tonight's filet mignon, or HOLY SH#T THAT BROAD IN THE FOURTH ROW HAS A HUGE RACK

All the parks are different and some have really funny stuff going on... like the inplay ladder at Fenway or that goofy hill they had in center for whoever that was last year.
Pitchers will have a higher ERA in the AL, since the pitcher does not bat too... grip it and rip it is the AL way... manufacturing runs is the NL way with bunts, steals and lineup swaps to maximize production late in the game.

Seems a little weird to bring Chapman in this early...ironic that it resulted in a tweaked leg...hopefully that doesn't come back to haunt them tonight or tomorrow...
