I stared down at the line from the arm of the Crucifix- looked beautiful.

What 3/4" crack at the 11d ear are you talking bout Tar? That crack through the bulge turns to less than 000 with lichen to boot!

Nice thread resurrection Le_B. You always seem to dig up the gooduns. What a stellar looking line with a wild history.

This climb kind of scares me just reading about it. Which is nice.

Since Coz went up there and placed the Goukas plaque,
he probably replaced the bad bolt as well.

Coz, or somebody, did replace it. He commented here on it once. Something like " and you guys did it when it still had that shitty bolt!"

Thanks for the thread Roy,

Climbed PowerPoint with Rosholt in 95.
He led the offwidth and I got the crux.
Took a couple whippers on "the bad bolt" before I figured it out.

Most memorable moment was arriving at The Gambler's hanging belay below The Ear and seeing the best piece in the anchor was a blue TCU.
I was too freaked out to hang on the anchor and powered right through too scared to fall.

Never did climb the Crucifix so PowerPoint is my consolation prize.
An epic route and a great adventure.

RIP John and Cozzy
