Does anyone know what the conditions at Sugarloaf in South Tahoe are like?
Thanks!

It's not in South Tahoe, rather 30 miles sw. It's undoubtedly in climbable condition at only 4900', but it is also a climbed out, bolted out mess.

You're a year late Rollover. Christian's inquiry is from 2016.

Anyway, what part of my statement of fact is whining. Is the crag fresh with plenty of new routes yet to be done? Hasn't there been very significant retrobolting and top down sport route establishment? Hasn't there been repeated rounds of bolting, chopping, and rebolting?

And who is the person hiding behind this Rollover avatar?

Sugarloaf ! The rock is superb. But the bolts suck so hard they take away from what once was primo.
SAD!

If Christina is still visiting this crag a conversation I had with Paul and Chuck might point her to good day on the wide ( I think she is the gal who did Basketcase and trip report a few years back) . The above mentioned guys had a great day by climbing every route on the rock involving a chimney or wide crack. All together something like 30 pitches.
