Had to cool off today in our community pool.

Mark, that was definitely an awesome gesture. My favorite beer and dropped it off at our trailer. Big thanks. We are doing the monthly Southgate Brewery dinner tomorrow at 5:30, if you want to make the drive. That goes for anyone. Oh yeah Neebee donated the catchers.

Daphne, you are just f*#king cool. Bout sums it up. Thanks for making it and great to meet your friend, bad with names, but Johanna?

Kris, had some great conversations and laughs with you. Have always admired you as a climber, turns out you are better in real life. Thanks for coming up.

Mike A, Moose, Holmes, Jeremy, Mindy and Brook. Thanks for all the laughs. So much fun hanging the majority of the time with you guys.

Stoney crew, you guys make this event special. All the history of stoney in the climbing world radiates from each of you. Big thanks for making the drive yet again.

Seven weeks out of surgery, all you guys really lifted my spirits. Big thanks.

Thanks to Ksolem I got kicked out of the gym for whipping onto one of his ultralight cams...will have to find a better venue to use them :)

Thank you so much for those, hoping to use them in unclimbed cracks in a few days. Super bummed I was unable to make the gathering. Heard a few things about it from Daphne. Again, wish I could be in several places at the same time...

Gang, I'm really happy I came and could share the combined stoke for climbing and nature with my kids. My iPhone camera lens is shattered, but still can take fuzzy pics...

Thanks Jeremy for help with the tire- that was my first tire plugging experience in the field- good I had the gear for it. Three plugs in the sidewall and it held for that rocky drive out and about 2 hours of asphalt driving before I got new tires in Oakhurst (2 others were pretty bald, and the blown sidewall was the only one that had good tread!)

Dernit Dingus, that was a close call. I woulda flagged ya down if I wasn't preoccupied. I never noticed you go by what with the rubber work and all.

MikeA, you have a heart of gold man, going a good ways out of your way to ferry us back to Big Sleep when I left my car at the asphalt (not wanting to push my luck with the triple-plugged sidewall). It was like a carnival ride for the kids bouncing around back there, heads banging ceiling, windows, and each other :)

Flipflop, thanks for excellent kid-friendly adventures and I'm sure more will follow.

Kris, next year you gotta bring Mahler's 5th and blast it! Better yet, play along with it!

Thank you Neebee for making the dream catchers, and thank you Moosedrool for giving it to my daughter when you won it in the raffel. She loves It!

Any pics of the corn hole masters? That is stylish campground entertaining.

Bluering, thanks for the chicken- I was looking for you at some point to see if your family wanted to head down to the pools, but you had already left. Next time.

I enjoyed the mealtime rituals hanging out prepping food and chatting with whoever was around our area, midway between the Stoney Point camp and Justin family central. Guy, Freeze, Kris, Jeff, Joe, and a host of others but I am memory-challenged when it comes to names. Just lots of nice faces flashing in my mind.

Thanks Justin for pulling this all together. It was a really positive experience for my family even if we hardly climbed. Very nice job of making the virtual community real.

I did manage to lead one pitch with my son belaying me, I guess it would be his first lead belay ever. The kids got in a full value top rope complete with biting flies and a rappel that involved jumping out to clear a wide flake. The kids didn't kill me yet so I guess I'll be able to get them out for more.

I wish I made more time to wander around and meet more people. So nice crossing paths with folks I haven't seen in a few years or in many cases, ever. Definitely adds more to the virtual experience, connecting faces and real interactions with the avatars.

That was a blast. Met new people, saw friends I haven't seen in years, and a few members of the disreputable band I see more often. Got to climb with Brandt Allen.

More fun than a barrel of monkeys.

It was a fun weekend! Kinda hot, but not too bad, even though some of us were crawling under rocks to get out of the sun between climbs up at Crocodile Rock :)

Today I was working in swealtering heat and kept thinking about those pools.

Frumy, nice pic of the lushness and water that made it hard to stroll among the cliffs. Can't wait to play in the water some more!

Super fun weekend!

The swimming holes were pretty epic too, such a great way to end the trip. Always good to hang with old friends and meet new people. Mike A showed us some photos from nearby areas on Friday night, and it was nice to chat with NutAgain and Flip Flop in the calm Monday morning after the Sunday exodus. Thanks to Justin for making this all happen!

Joanna, you're a star. Bold lead, bolder follow and some epic water sliding. Good fun.
