If someone buys that joint hopefully they will repaint it a more modest color - it used to be a nice adobe/earth color and then x years ago the owners painted it the current obnoxious RED that can be seen from most anywhere in the canyon, a major sore thumb... too bad I'm $2.45M short ;-)

The people up the canyon should go around the long way by Walker Ranch. This road is built on eroding sandstone next to a creek and was a bad idea to begin with. To say nothing of having the middle of the park being reserved for dodging traffic while belaying. I also hate all the chain link fencing they are using to block off the talus fields to keep rocks from falling on the road. When will the construction end? Probably never.

Work should be done by spring in time for the "call" for water. 3 different water diversion projects, 2 in the park and 1 in town proper. The other project in the park is to rebuild the stone wall that got washed out in the flood of 2013. The road to the back of the park and residential properties is fine, one very short one lane section. The old road from Walker Ranch doesn't really exist anymore but use to be a great mountain bike ride bitd before it became city of Boulder open space. Plus 1 to Brassnuts for pointing out the ugly red color of that one house back there. Hopefully if it ever sells the new owners will paint it something more neutral. Always something going on out here.

Ignore all the machinery (etc).
It's actually just an elaborately disguised retro-bolting scam by BD - to try an sell more quickdraws.

They need to put the creek into a pipe and fill in the streambed with cement so people can build massive numbers of tract homes on 1/8 acre lots. At least, that's the overall trend. Luckily, Colorado is a huge state with lots of rock climbing and remote places. Although its sad to see people building anything in Eldo.

Sadly, Colorado is a state that hasn't learned about zoning. And with the possible exception of Arizona, is the one where money speaks loudest.

WOOT's delusia inspires others. WOOT doesn't have to be the guy with the Hilti hidden in foam within a backpack. WOOT is contagious. The WOOT sickness spreads, like the Plague, from the carrier to others.
That's why it's important for WOOT to stop, right now.
