One wonders are they feeling no pain? Jaybro put off Lucile for 20 years -- not enough beta endorphins to drawn on? Or are most climbers of the wyde manic/depressive and do offwidth when depressed? "I need a beating so I'll climb ..."

I am a dopamine freak; quick moving explosive sport moves, motocross, skate & downhill skiing -- you know the exciting things in life.

One marathon cured me of any repeats but loved the 1/4 mile.

Buddhastalin,

thanks for taking note, I meant beta endorphins not beta blockers. I have corrected the opening post.

BuddhaStalin,

English?? Folks of the Vu spell wide, wyde--local vernacular of the worlds best offwidth place. It is not my English it is just your lack of getting around.

Offwidth is all about endorphins! Nothing causes the system to flood with them like a good offwidth.

So I first climbed Lucille when I was thirty two, and now I learn I put it off for twenty years... Doing the math...does that mean I should have climbed it when I was twelve? Or dating back from when I first made an exploratory forray, nine years before the first ascent, I was 23, but should have been three?

Your own brain chemistry seems to work in some interesting ways indeed Dingus!
