Any history of the City of Rocks without input from the Lowe's will be lacking. So if anyone knows them and feels up to it, could you put them in touch with me please?

Happy Thanksgiving!

Which Lowe's Kristen?
If it's Jello, why not send him an email or check his
website and contact Jeff and Connie--I'd bet they
might be able to add things. . .

I tried to get the Lowes to work with Kristen but I need to try again.

Darius Azin is a doctor in Seattle.

I believe Gordon Douglas and Karen Madigan live in Salt Lake City.

Kristen- Consider joining LinkedIn Premium for a short while if you want to find these people easily and you have room in your budget.

Bump for City of Rocks Climbing History Project.

(For those that have not met her), Kristen is a very-nice person to share information with.

Seems like I bump into Karen skiing every once and awhile...

Was a John Barstow poster of her climbing on the Dolphin from years ago. Great shot. I think one is still hanging in IME in SLC. Queen of the Wasatch!

aw Thanks Fritz!
The climbers I have met so far have been very generous with their stories and this project has been and continues to be a delight to work on.

Brian and Lorenzo,
Thanks for the links about Karen and Boone Speed, respectively.

The Department of Interior website blocker wouldn't let me open the "Bodies we want" link. I hope I don't get in trouble. haha

Cheers,

Steve Grossman,
Linked In premium has been offering me a free month every once in a while.
I will take them up on that!

Thanks,

Kristen- I spend a lot of time trying to find people for the various historical festivals that I organize as part of my work with NACHA.

LinkedIn is very useful for a short concentrated search effort so take advantage of that promotional premium level service if you have the time.

Rob Hart here. Are you still looking for City info? I just saw this post - only a year late. And, Mike Stoger's name is not here? That's crazy!

Rob Hart, I was looking for you!
Well I don't work at City anymore but I am working on the booklet with my first 21 interviews.

I will add his name to the list. I am not actively interviewing at the moment but who knows what the future may bring.

The people who were interviewed were integral to the development of City of Rocks although it is admittedly not an exhaustive list.

I am doing my best to have the booklet in for review so that it can be printed and on the shelves - at the City of Rocks VC for June 2017. The best laid plans...:-)

The project was so much fun and I spoke with many very interesting people. The climbers here on ST and those I met at City and Castles were very helpful.
Thank you for your post!
