Escopeta-

you lived in the PRK- seriously? I would not doubt your relative perspective in that case.

Quite a few good men and women have died for this country "AS IS", regardless.

Women have waited a long time.

Yes. But I have friends and relatives who will vote for Clinton simply because of her gender, even if they know she is not the best candidate. Electing a highly qualified woman would be great for women and the country. But Clinton, with all of her baggage, not so much.

Blacks waited a long time, and they remember who helped them.

Symbolism is powerful. I was very excited, filled with pride for my country, when we elected a black man to the Presidency. There are times when policy differences should be set aside. But today we must ask ourselves if “they” will remember getting much help in the last seven years. Young black men in urban areas are growing up as unemployable, turning to gangs, and murdering one another in record numbers. This is a national emergency (and a national shame.)

Jews know who ran the ovens.

That’s certainly a loaded statement. You must be trying to associate Conservatism with genocide? The Nazi’s were conservative, politically to the right? An interesting position to take considering that surrendering oneself to the central authority is anathema to a Conservative.

You guys have done a great job of kicking hispanics.

The last President to sign an amnesty bill into law was Reagan. He kept his half of the deal, Congress reneged on theirs, choosing instead to leave the border open. Today the Reps have a Hispanic candidate who is pro amnesty – just came out of the closet yesterday- and another who is named by The National Law Journal as one of the 50 Most Influential Minority Lawyers in America.

A lot of white, educated men and women can see through the rhetoric.

A lot more than just white, educated men and women can see through the rhetoric. The Sanders/Clinton rhetoric that is…

Ignoring the obvious contradiction of your statement, yes I have the same privilege. The difference is that I acknowledge that I am privileged and believe that others deserve what I have. You are upset that you perceive your privilege is being taken from you and given to others that do not deserve it. That is one of the fundamental political dramas playing out in American politics at the moment.

You have an awful habit of speaking for others and/or projecting whatever concoction of sentiment you infer onto the the original author.

If you want to make a point, make it. You don't need to somehow twist something I say to fit your intentions. I'll take it for what its worth regardless.

My perspective is that the two major political parties in the country have homogenized and are united in their drive towards a stifling regulatory environment, a "government by waiver" mentality, wealth re-distribution and overall expansion of their powers.

The fact that they differ slightly about exactly the path to get there is uninteresting to me.

Escopeta, you have the awful habit of being upset that I think you believe what you say. Reread your posts. If they do not represent your views then make different posts. I'm not sure what to tell you. If you aren't upset because you think the government is stealing from you to give to other people then stop stating something to that effect in nearly every post.

I mean, there it is right there. What's not to get? I got it the first 50 times you posted it. Your viewpoint is super, super clear. Stop being mad that I reference it.

Those are your words, not mine. Language is important.

No one has taken any rights or special advantage from me and given to someone else and I have made no such claim.

If you want to make stuff up, just make it up. Fine with me. But please at least be honest about it. Good Grief.

Ksolem: If you had troubled to read Mein Kampf (arguably the most poorly written book ever published) and noted Hitler's breathtaking hatred of ANY kind of progressive views, I believe it's perfectly accurate to label Nazis as right wing fanatics. Are you attempting to say that the Nazis were liberals?

Reagan was a real lover of Hispanics - so much so that he propped up evil dictators in Central America and not only financed and armed these monsters who murdered thousands of innocent peasants, but even trained their troops in torture techniques at the School of the Americas. All this to support U.S. interests.

I figure that the only reason Reagan and his accomplices would have been willing to accept amnesty for Hispanics is because they realized that much of the U.S. economy would have tanked if they disappeared the only workers available who were willing to tolerate slave wages and working conditions.

Yeah - you and your ilk have great eyesight.

Re: the plight of poor blacks in the U.S. - are you seriously attempting to infer that the Tea Baggers were falling all over themselves attempting to assist Obama pass legislation that would have improved living conditions for them - like Medicare, for instance? Were these Tea Baggers attempting to create social programs that were blocked by Obama?

Any Hispanic who does not wish to live as a victim and refuses to be told he can't get ahead without the Libs must be an ignorant troll? Pretty simple answer for such a complex and intelligent being as yourself Ken.
I know much of what happened in Mexican and American history and I learn from it, I don't live it. In fact it's you who may need to read some history to see that Hispanics/Latinos have been treated worse by their own kind in many cases than by the "white man". The fact that I have Spanish blood makes me and most Mexicans partly white anyways. If you have traveled in Mexico you know that many darker more native Hispanic Indians are treated badly in many cases. That little dark Indian Mexican dude down at home depot is treated better here than in many parts of Mexico. But I wouldn't know Einstein, my whole family just lives there and my mother was literally born in a grass hut and had trouble getting adopted due to her dark complexion. I would say you are the ignorant one, opening up your yapper when you have no fookin clue what I have been through personally and assume like all good snotty Liberals that there must be something wrong with me if I am not thinking like you. Grow the hell up.
Constantly bitching about what people did in the past, does what exactly? Besides make people mad?
Of course there are racist people I have run into, did they stop me from getting anywhere? No. Could they organize and make sure I don't get into something? No. I never had a bunch of white people be in Kahoots against me. I have asked other Hispanics about this as well, and as I mentioned, I get the "it's the system" answer.
I live in an area with many paisanos and have heard them talk sh#t about white people in Spanish, I have heard Hispanics say horrible things about blacks, I have heard blacks say horrible things about whites and Asians say horrible sh#t about other Asians. I live in a world where all races are racist and all races are kind. Everyone is an individual.
Until we stop letting career politicians and the media make everything about race, we are going nowhere. We are not getting anywhere right now are we? We are just going backwards, people are just looking back at history and thinking they are owed something. If badly treated Hispanics, Chinese, Blacks, etc..from back in the day, lived now, do you think they would cry for revenge or just be happy they have gotten their rights and freedoms and live a productive happy life with their new found liberties? I will not ride on the coat tails of what my ancestors may have suffered and carry a chip on my shoulder, why would I take credit for what they went through and act like I have gone through anything like that? That's very disingenuous.

Contractor, your story is something that happens, but did you listen to these people and not hire them? Did you have the power to makes sure no Mexicans get hired if you wanted too? And that's great that you set an example to all those racist white employers out there, but being a good person to other is not "paying back your white guilt". Many races of people are kind to other people and help them out all the time. Are you paying something back or doing it because you are a good person?
In my opinion you don't owe Hispanics or anyone anything unless you are going to cry about white guilt and not give back some of the things you got "unfairly" as in reparations. If you were a past racist and literally thought other races are below you, and you pushed to make sure those people do not get ahead, or you had a direct recent ancestor who did these things, than I could understand your white guilt.

pyro: People who aren't White Trash have enough intelligence to realize that an "Oreo" is considered to be a derogatory reference for a Black person who behaves like a White person.

Much as I identify with the justifiable concerns of the Black community, I am Caucasian. To save you the agony of trying to learn how to operate a dictionary, Caucasian is another word for White.

How's your Mensa application working out?

I guess Malcolm X was white trash? I've heard more Libs use that term and Uncle Tom to describe Allen West and a number of other black conservatives than any conservative ever using it. You Libs own that word right now, it is freely thrown around to any black person who does not fit the classic Dem mold.

You complain about this constantly, you just don't like it when I frame it outside of your "I'm a victim of government oppression" story. Instead of defending your views you insist that you don't have them. "The entire government budget is stolen from people like me and redistributed to others" means exactly what I said. Unless you are stating that you think those people DO deserve it. By all means explain that further if I am misunderstanding it.
