Watched the Dem debate last night. Can't stand Billary. Strikes me as a conceited, lying bitch. I know, harsh.
Don't care for Trump, though I do think he pretty accurately represents the far right, in MANY aspects. Though he's pretty independent, his ideology is wacked.
Go Bernie. Needs to be a little more dynamic, though. Step back a bit from the pushing financial reform, and address the questions directly.

We're screwed.

Wondering if I'll live to see the day when politics and world affairs take a turn for the better, when climate change is beginning to be reversed, etcetera...feels like driving an old car until you are sure one day the wheels are going to fall off.

...driving an old car, well that might be a step in the wrong direction.

http://www.snopes.com/1998-trump-people-quote/

By October 1999, Trump had become more serious about dipping his toes in political waters. Announcing on CNN's Larry King Live that he was forming an exploratory committee with the intention of running for president, Trump said:

I'm a registered Republican. I'm a pretty conservative guy. I'm somewhat liberal on social issues, especially health care, et cetera, but I'd be leaving another party, and I've been close to that party ... I think that nobody is really hitting it right. The Democrats are too far left. I mean, Bill Bradley, this is seriously left; he's trying to come a little more center, but he's seriously left. The Republicans are too far right. And I don't think anybody's hitting the chord, not the chord that I want hear, and not the chord that other people want to hear, and I've seen it.

At around the same time in October 1998, Trump ran through his then-current political positions with NBC's Stone Phillips:

Mr. TRUMP: I'd like to see major tax cuts.

PHILLIPS: Along the line, for what the Republicans are talking about —eight hundred billion or so? Would you go that far?

Mr. TRUMP: Along the lines of that number, yes, approximately at that number, and could even be more.

PHILLIPS: Health care?

Mr. TRUMP: [I'm] liberal on health care, we have to take care of people that are sick.

PHILLIPS: Universal health coverage?

Mr. TRUMP: I like universal, we have to take care, there's nothing else. What's the country all about if we're not going to take care of our sick?

PHILLIPS: Abortion?

Mr. TRUMP: I hate the concept of abortion. I hate anything about abortion, and yet, I'm totally for choice. I think you have no alternative.

PHILLIPS: Gun control? Where do you stand on that?

Mr. TRUMP: If you could tell me that the bad guys, the criminals, wouldn't have guns, I'd be a hundred percent for gun control. But the fact is, if you have gun control, the only people that are going to obey the laws, are going to be the good guys. So the bad guys are going to have the guns, the good guys aren't going to have the guns, and what good does that do us? So, I'm not in favor of it.

Is this really the same guy Repubs are supporting? HOW CAN THAT BE?
Either his ideology has completely changed, or their blind to his liberal ways. Or, he's the same kind of wishy-washy flip-flopper they just love to skewer...

A sad commentary on how far the Grand old party has fallen. It's sad because we need Both parties to be competent. We need good people in both parties dedicated to different philosophies of governance with different ideas but mostly committed to the good of the nation. We don't have that anymore.

best part of this sentence:

Donald Trump

I've met a lot of people in life and I have found it best to form opinions about them by actually meeting them in person. In 2009 I agreed to do that tv show Celebrity Apprentice on NBC. This meant I had to move to NYC for 6 weeks and spend every day with Donald Trump, Ivanka Trump, and Don Jr. I really had no expectations. I think I was actually the only "Celebrity" that had a semi normal manual labor job. I think this gave me a very different perspective on things. I actually think Donald Trump had no idea who I was or what I actually did for a living. Over the next month I was able to observe him and his kids in their day to day routine. What I saw was a person that treated everyone with respect. Even the (Hispanic) guys in the mail room. He had coffee from the coffee machine and BS'd with them every single morning. Trash men and cops would stop him on the street and he would stop whatever he was doing and spend a little bit of time with every one of them. As the month went on I used my hard work and perseverance to gain respect of the Trumps and most everyone around me.
I made it all the way to the top 3 and when I was let go Donald Trump stood up and shook my hand and said " Great Job Jesse".
Now I know that a lot of you will think that is some dumb reality TV show, not real life...and especially Not the presidency. Trust me I know that is very true, but the majority of the Anti-Trumps are basing their opinion of him on sound bites from that very same Reality TV Show. I think you should look above what the TV Network put out there to boost ratings. Nobody wants to watch somebody be a nice guy, they want to see him say "Your FIRED!". What I personally observed is a man that is perfect suited to run this country. He is respectful to the little guy (which shows he worked hard to get where he is) and he is also tough as nails when he needs to be. The people he will appoint to key top positions will be top shelf, and you can bank if they don't perform? They will get the boot. Lastly the best quality I observed about Donald Trump is being a dad. This is by far his strongest quality. Ivanka is an super smart, driven woman. The shakes your hand firm and looks you in the eye when she talks to you. Donald Jr. Also has the same smarts and drive, but is also a pretty regular guy that has a "almost" restored 69' Camaro and loves to long range shoot ( don't let anyone know I told you that). The poise in these two shows a lot in their parents. I think we are lucky to have his kids as part of the deal.
So before you guys react to what I have written here. One thing you know about me is Good or bad I will always tell it like it is. This guy is the Real Deal, and will Make America Great Again.

Thanks for reading.

Endorsed by Jesse James. Thrice divorced criminal running a chop shop. Reality show ding-dong with heaps of legal drama, parental alienator, rehab junky with self proclaimed 'personal issues'.

If Trump wins, and doesn't make America Great again,
are you going to call him a Liar?

And hold investigations, and smear it all over the media.

That seems to be the right wing criteria now.

I can guarantee you that I won't be saying Trump made America Great Again,

That's hilarious. So you are still under the misconception that there is a lick of difference between the Rep and Dem?

Considering how up in arms the conservatives get every time President Obama smiles and how opposed they are to any increased freedom -socially or financially- for the more melanin-rich population, I'll have to disagree with that sentiment.

Lois was a lot more informed about politics and reality
so she would never claim that the parties were the same

She would argue the wrong side of every issue, like any good Republican cult member, it was like she had a direct feed of the newest talking points into her brain while sleeping

you have to be really clueless and duped, or part of the ultra right wing Alex Jones types to claim that they are all the same.
You should hear some their rationalizations of "They are all the same!"
pure crazy talk

Some differences-
Science
Education
SS, Medicare
Food Stamps, Welfare,
Tax rates
Federal Spending
loop holes
Money in politics
abortion
birth control
minorities,
immigration policies
LGBT rights
Climate Change
environmental Protections

The parties are deeply divided on these issues
plus a 1000 more

Sorry rick

That's why we still have to blame Bush and the Republicans for this mess were in, you can't escape the damage done, we still blame Hitler don't we?

What the F has George Soros done that you have to mention him in every other post, you probably don't even know what's he's done, it just another empty dog whistle that you use to build some hillbilly hate with.

there are books exposing all the dirty money the Koch Brothers are spending to take YOU rights Away, but of course, you are unaware of the difference between Soros spending his money to raise his taxes to help this country vs. spending money to make more billions by bribing Republicans to fix the system in their favor, so they can pollute more, pay less in wages, be free from regulations and pay way less in taxes etc.

Oh yeah. They are DEEPLY divided. The difference between being flushed down a porcelain toilet or a stainless steel one.

Both parties working to expand the government, transfer wealth and reduce individual freedom in the manner they see fit.

Yeah, that's soooo much different.

There is a highly-charged emotional exchange on this thread.

But I though that all those in favor of disarming individuals would be happy to hear of registration of yet another minority group, based on history:

The Weimar gun control law of 1928 allowed police to deny firearms ownership to any “unreliable” person. The Nazis seized on this language, eventually making unauthorized ownership of guns and other weapons a very serious crime. As the Nazis were consolidating their power in the 1930s, there were two incidents where young male Jews, acting alone, assassinated Nazi leaders. In Paris, a young man shot and killed a German diplomat, and in Switzerland, the leader of the local Nazi party was also fatally shot. After each incident, the Nazis used the Ministry of Propaganda to demonize all Jews, and moved to restrict Jewish access to weapons. The Paris incident became the excuse for sparking the terrible “Kristallnacht” pogrom, where synagogues were set ablaze, Jewish stores were looted, and many Jewish citizens were beaten by brownshirted thugs.

On November 10, 1938, the Nazi Interior Department formally decreed that persons defined as Jews under the infamous Nuremberg Laws were prohibited from possessing any types of weapons. They declared that Jews possessing weapons would be subject to 20-year sentences in concentration camps. In the nations and territories invaded and occupied on Hitler’s orders, private gun ownership was punishable by death.
Gun Control in the Third Reich: Disarming the Jews and “Enemies of the State” by Stephen P. Halbrook

(sarcasm)Let's see: first, the government here killed the native populations for owning firearms (Check Wounded Knee), then Blacks for being armed (check any southern state laws especially after WWI) and now, if they can register Muslims, who might not be as easily identified as Indians and Blacks, they could kill them, too, after passing a law against firearm ownership by yet another minority.

Gosh, and just think how far disarmament could go, driven by fear, when the government has a minority population whom the rest of us will not defend. Those in favor of universal disarmament might see a great leap forward for their cause. Wouldn't that be a good thing? (end sarcasm)

I see someone cited a passage from the Bill of Rights, but I think that same individual may be in favor of ignoring the Second Amendment, while holding up the First Amendment as a Light of justice.

Politicians, by their very nature that they get into politics, should not be elected to any office of public trust. A lottery might work better. The political systems of this nation have been entirely perverted, and yet people are easily distracted by the political theatre. I respectfully suggest that each caring individual find a way to help, with peace and kindness, those in need who are closest to them, perhaps in their own back yard, and stay aloof from the insanity of political teams scrambling on the field, being only slightly less entertaining that those other teams who fight over a football. We are thinking individuals capable of reasoning and of consulting our conscience. Why do we need to label anyone?
end of rant.

Go climb something.
Peace,

he said he lies all the time to manipulate people

That's why you love him, just like Hitler, he's smart enough to know how persuade idiots by saying the very THINGS they WANT To Hear.
say those things, and they fall into your lap, and will become the brown shirts you need as thugs to do your dirty work.

he has been caught in more lies than Ted Bundy, and hasn't backed down on a single one after being proved wrong,
yet you guys worry about the 4 lies that Hillary regrets saying

That's a lack of perspective, and all driven by the a right wing misinformation smear campaign, you guys are just like a bunch of retarded children, they can say any complete BS and you guys will believe it without wquestion

British MPs are debating a petition calling for Donald Trump to be banned from entering the UK. The petition has so far been signed by 574,000 people. Signatories believe Trump should be barred on the grounds of hate speech, following his calls for a ban on all Muslims entering the U.S., and his claims that London has become “so radicalised” the city’s police force are “afraid for their own lives".
