I switched to Penthouse in 1976.

Soft focus hootchie cootchie shots were all the rage among us artistas.

Still read the interviews in PBoy tho - especially the Bill Cosby "How to Get Laid" articles.

"Playboy’s circulation has dropped from 5.6 million in 1975 to about 800,000 now"............ blabh blah blah we're not sure why.....

When I cancelled the subscription for the company, I told them it was only due to their opinionated and incorrect anti-2nd amendment editorial stance. Thought I was clear about it. Maybe I wasn't. Lots of their readers were young ex or current military guys. Lots feel just like I did. Everyone at work read it, including the women. Do they not know who subscribes and pays for the rag?

Now you're saying that the women will have more clothes on? Jesus. That's gonna boost circulation. Not. Strike 3 ...and .......you're out.

In an age when endless videos of just about every sex act imaginable is only a Google search away, playboy's approach to nudity seems almost quaint, reminiscent of a time when 14 yo boys hid naughty mags under the bed and viewed them late at night under covers with a flashlight. I'm surprised it has hung on this long.

It's the end of an era. Cheers, Hugh!

I resemble that recollection!
