Do vets lives matter?

They sure do Compton.

That is why more modern COMBAT Vets are COPS in this nation than ever before!

EDIT:

Below is recent photo of what just occurred to one of my fellow Chief Shipmates who after retiring with 22 years in 05 joined the Charlotte PD.

Last week when responding to a domestic, the primary suspect (who was accused of beating the shet out of his wife) unchained his fighting pit on him then ran. Unfortunately he had to terminate the pit and the suspect was apprehended two blocks later by his partner (a Black Officer btw) after a foot pursuit. Unfortunately for my Shipmate, he has some possible terminal nerve damage that may end his career as CPD and his ability to walk without a pronounced major limp.

He utilized his education to reiterate how anyone, regardless of race or ethnicity, can come out of the grips of hell if they chose to and make a better life for themselves.

AND they have programs that they can take advantage of, as he did....

Oh, most of the shet he did his last 35 or so years as a neurosurgeon at JHU was strictly all under research programs. Most were for those that could not ever afford the quality medical service he rendered. He did nothing nor was ever paid as a private practitioner would be. Thus your Obamacare opinion is moot RJ.

Research programs? You know what that means? GOVERNMENT DOLE. And if you think he didn't get paid handsomely, you are delusional.

sure, but many homeless and mentally ill are vets too.

So I ask again: if you saw a video of a green cop using clearly excessive force on a vet, would you side with the cop on principal?

No, it is because Vets get special preferential treatment in the application process, just as they do for a number of jobs.

But of course, you are against any sort of special preference, right?

Carson is down on Obamacare because it slices his chunk of the profits even thinner...He forgets that the taxpayers picked up the tab on his education at the University of Michigan...He isn't going anywhere in the presidential race because the republican voters hate having an uppity negro running the country...

KEN M...

Thank you for totally disproving RJ's ORIGINAL point above regarding education and Obamacare (which had absolutely nothing to with his salary before or after Obamacare).

"AND they have programs that they can take advantage of, as he did...."

"Research programs? You know what that means? GOVERNMENT DOLE. And if you think he didn't get paid handsomely, you are delusional."

Delusional? Did I ever state that he didn't? Not!!! Nor does it have anything to do with the point.

Another totally dumbass has absolutely nothing to do with anything post by... KEN M.

So I ask again: if you saw a video of a green cop using clearly excessive force on a vet, would you side with the cop on principal?

Before you do waste your time posting one up Compton, answer this..... How does a cop identify anyone as being a Vet prior to or after initiating any contact with or action towards? In any of your interactions with a LEO, have you ever been asked for you Lic, Reg, Proof of Ins and your VET/VA ID?

EDIT:

No, it is because Vets get special preferential treatment in the application process, just as they do for a number of jobs.

And why is that Compton in this particular field of endeavor. Ya think maybe cus they got just a tad bit of real life heavy duty training and experience doing so. Especially when raiding a known heavily armed Crack, Meth or any other type major drug dealers residence/building of operation or initiating action on a hostage rescue operation etc ...

Hey ZBrown... I voted for Gore. Worst mistake of my life next to voting for Obama, TWICE! Talk about being a complete stupidass...

Since Gore did not become President it's REALLY difficult to evaluate how he did.

Re: Obama. Come back in 25 years and compare the evaluations of Clinton, the Bushes, Obama and Trump (or was that Truman).

Since Gore did not become President it's REALLY difficult to evaluate how he did.

Not difficult at all. 100+ million in his bank account after swindling millions with bullshet. Most assuredly what he would have done after 9/11, seeing his track record since 2000, he probably would have sent Osama an invitation to the WH and formally tried to make a appeasement with him after 9/11. Also officially noting that the American public is not to make reference to Muslims for the 9/11 attack. That we do not want to "offend" anyone and that we need to look at seriously taking on responsibility for the 9/11 incident.

Former Vice President Al Gore was in Saudi Arabia on Sunday to make a speech. While he was there, you would have thought he might have done something useful. Perhaps he could have gone out on a limb and condemned Saudi financial support for terrorism. Maybe he could have spoken out for women's rights in Arab countries. Well .. he did nothing of the sort.

He accused the U.S. government of "terrible abuses" against Arabs after 9/11. He complained that they had been "indiscriminately rounded up" and kept in "unforgivable" conditions. Really. I'm not making this up. Al Gore goes to what some believe to be home base for anti-Western Muslim culture and gives them aid and comfort by slamming his own country!

It's just fine for Al Gore to go to Saudi Arabia, the home of the virulently anti-American and hyper-violent Wahabbi Islamic sect, and slam his own country. But, whatever he does, don't say anything that could offend a Muslim.

Where did I ever give any reference that Obama is/was a bad president? Where?

I just stated that I made a mistake in voting for him, twice.

Speaking of which, see your first quote on this post.

First Black Elected to Head Harvard's Law Review
By FOX BUTTERFIELD, Special to The New York Times
Published: February 6, 1990
BOSTON, Feb. 5— The Harvard Law Review, generally considered the most prestigious in the country, elected the first black president in its 104-year history today. The job is considered the highest student position at Harvard Law School.

The new president of the Review is Barack Obama, a 28-year-old graduate of Columbia University who spent four years heading a community development program for poor blacks on Chicago's South Side before enrolling in law school. His late father, Barack Obama, was a finance minister in Kenya and his mother, Ann Dunham, is an American anthropologist now doing fieldwork in Indonesia. Mr. Obama was born in Hawaii.

So tell us, how did his being elected to "head" some law school review benefit humanity at the time?

Just one example.... Just one.

Let's compare Obama's Law Review (being the best bullshetter basically, ie lawyer) to Carson's 40 years of split second critical thinking ability in order to perform the most delicate procedures in order to save a fellow human's life and give them one with a far better quality than they had prior to doing the very exceptionally rare and delicate procedure.

Chief, for what it's worth, I wonder a little when someone mentions explosives at someone's "6", epecially a former helicopter pilot. If it matters, my uncle was a copilot in an A6, sometimes over north Viet nam. Fishing by yourself in far away places definitely has its appeal (to my uncle too). Also, this forum can be a nice place to hang and read stories. Sti, it never seems to change peoples political opinions. I wish you the best.

Chief, just because you have learned to search on the internet, don't think that substitutes for actual thought...

... your canned talking point raving seems to dislodge whatever actual fresh thinking you might actually contribute to this discussion...

... and I have no doubt that what you want to say is far better than the talking points and news searches that you are defaulting to...
