Atonement is liberating, no?

I look up at that wall every time I drive by and wonder how the crux placements change With each of the few ascents seen on that tiny seam up the overhanging MnO-stained Navajo grains.

Bravo!

Bonus for a tale of the crux gear (yeah, I know it's a string of crux gear, but what was the single shittiest piece?).

Cheater Stick DD and a Hammer.

River Road east of Moab. Pretty much a big time Moab classic.

Bonus for a tale of the crux gear

Which crux and what year. The damn route has completely changed over it almost 40 year life span. My second time up was directly after a crew of Spaniards attempted and bailed after the 2nd P. They totally trashed the soft section some 30 or so feet below the 2nd anchor. I used some filed down angled cut RURPs and a handful of Deuce's Beaks in that section when I linked 1 & 2 praying they would hold. They did. The first time I used C-n-U's linked in the same section.

Got photos of what I called the Spanish inquisition somewhere...

EDIT: Here is one of the shots I took of the destruction....
