I found the following cover on a ~20 years old book.
The artistic depiction of rappelling doesn't seem 100% right to me.
How many errors do you see on this picture?
Can you think of another piece of art with rappelling errors present?

Nah that's just BURT BRONSON doing his standard one hand rap.
Only guy ever to swage a rope to a carabiner.

Holding the rope with his left hand, I imagine because he's a better shot with his right. But then he'll always be the hand. He needs to learn to shoot with the left.
Assault weapon will hinder the deployment of his BASE chute.
Using a drone to get close up video. LAME. They need to ban those things.
Not using an Australian rappel when you are shooting someone below you? Rookie move.

they teach the handgun brake as the standard rappelling technique in Russia. Though AKM brake is deemed superior

He is wielding a bolt gun, and is in the process of re-establishing a classic route in fine style.

I do not know how many mistakes, but one what I see is enough to be dead.
His braking hand is above his belaying device. He is goner.

What belay device? He's a Steel Condor, he doesn't need no stinking device!

Whatever the dude on the book cover is doing.
That's how real pros do it.
Real pros do it any way they deem it necessary according to time and circumstance unlike stupor topo and their endless right way to do everything or it's wrong.
Yabo rappelled hand over hand down the enema crack.
What a Pro ....

Parachute cord, a break bar and a piece of one inch webbing... just don't weight the rope.

Rappeling? Clearly this is a very old photo. He should be yelling "Take" then "Lower me." Fool!

There is no knot - the rope is welded directly to the biner. In Russia, rope is apparently made of flexible colored steel.
