I think the best post of this thread is the first one:
I love American elections !
It's either that, or the third one.

Interesting that the Ninth Circuit which makes leftie oriented decisions is biased
yes, isn't it it interesting that today the 9th ruled against the NRA (a righty outfit) essentially a 2nd Amendment decision
and in favor of the state of California to make and uphold Concealed Handgun Law.

Yeah, good one.
So, Californians can't carry loaded handguns openly. They can't carry loaded long guns. And now the everyday person can't even carry concealed weapons. So, with this ruling, the right of self-defense is basically dead in California. The whole state is now a "gun free" zone.
Schhhhweeet! It's a paradise for the left.
I'm so glad I'm outta there. Fortunately there are still a few saner states remaining.

Stop whining crybaby wimp.
I've lived in California 70 years and never had to gun-up to protect myself despite having had one pulled on me and living at times in some very tough parts of town.
I do own two that I pretty much inherited. Neither is a handgun and I don't ever get the urge to parade around town with them.

This is what I was referring to. JE and I were discussing bias in the Circuit Courts. His take is the Ninth is biased (presumably because they lean left). My point is that he didn't discuss right leaners bias_wise.

ROFL
So predictable:
I'm a victim.
I'm arrogant.
I'm a racist.
I'm a hater.
I'm bitter.
I'm a libertarian.
I'm stupid.
I'm ridiculous.
I perpetually need to check my privilege.
Yeah, yeah.
Whatever.
You guys demonstrate the last vestiges of the left's intellectually bankrupt "responses" to anybody who doesn't agree with every cardinal tenant of your "progressive," nanny-state, give-away everything platform.
Name calling, ad hominem attacks, and vile insults are your MO.
Oh, I forgot: Pointing out that fact is "whining," so....
I'm a whiner.
LOLOLOL
Carry on.

Ah, yes, the dog-pile has just gotten started.
Let's see if I've got this right....
Because you've never felt the need to be armed, that means that NOBODY should have any right to be armed. Petite women, old people, smaller-frame guys who haven't devoted years to martial arts training... in other words, the vast majority of law-abiding citizens should be forced to "just call 911" when trouble comes their way.
Because you are some self-proclaimed bad-ass, EVERYBODY else should just "buck up" and be a bad-ass too.
Right? Did I get it right?

Did you actually read the decision MB, or are you just parroting the right wing website du jour.
You are just like the genius at the recent town hall meeting that asked the President, "why are you restricting sales and ownership of our guns". The Presidents response was good and applies to today's ruling

Right? Did I get it right?
No you did not.
Because you've never felt the need to be armed, that means that NOBODY should have any right to be armed.
and so on and so on
I didn't say that, you did.
Don't try to put words in my mouth. I can speak for myself.
There are millions of folks in California and the rest of the United States that don't share your paranoia. Tons of them are veterans who actually fought in wars, yet don't "feel the burning need" for guns.

Did you? And are you able to perform a couple of basic inferences from that decision?
1) It is already illegal to open-carry a loaded firearm. So, open-carry of anything but a useless gun-shaped piece of metal and (perhaps) polymer is illegal.
2) It was already basically impossible to get a concealed carry license, which meant that for the vast majority of Californians, concealed-carry was denied them.
3) This decision cemented California's "right" to stick with both (1) and (2).
Put them together, and you have an entire state in which it is illegal for the vast majority of people to arm themselves with the same weapon of choice used by all of the criminals that will not obey any of these gun laws.
Explain to me how there is any other implication. Explain to me how the "right to keep and BEAR" arms has not been "infringed" in California. Explain to me how the average person in California is able to exercise their 2nd amendment RIGHT (that is, btw, based upon the right of self-defense).

I can speak for and defend myself.
Ooooo... SUCH a tough guy.
I'm pissing myself in spurts just thinking about HOW bad-ass you must be!
Of course, you did not explain how the AVERAGE (vast majority) of Californians are supposed to defend themselves... you know, not being as scintillatingly BAD-ass as you.
Oh, right. Trouble never comes to non-bad-asses, so everybody else has nothing to worry about (insert picture of college doors "locked" from the inside with string, etc.).
Just call 911. That's the ONLY "right" you have, and it's ALL that the founders could have meant by "shall not be infringed."
Uh, huh.
Oh, have I mentioned that just reading your mighty words makes me piss myself?
In spastic spurts!

You are right about that. It is indeed amazing to watch.
Both parties need to go by the same wayside of history.
