Something to do with the first "Why Republicans are Wrong" shetfest and totally worthless thread/s and your posting up about the Block Party you were throwing for meeting some milestone but had you NOT deleted some 20K of those posts, you would have had some 50K joyous posts on that total hate towards Republicans thread of yours.

Do you even know what "right wing" MEANS?
Seriously, that you can even ask such a question calls your limited credibility into deep and fundamental question. The answer to that question would be OBVIOUS to you if you understood American politics and political philosophy at 1/10 the level you claim to.
We have a "winner take all" approach, contrary to a parliamentary system. That is why it is extremely difficult for any third party to emerge in the face of two established parties. It is even harder today than it was 100 years ago. If you think a bit, you'll tumble to why.
Libertarians who run "Republican" do so because being on one of the two main-party tickets is the only hope of being elected. Most of them are vehemently opposed to Democratic "masterminding" via ever-increasing government. A guy like Ron Paul had hopes of election as a "Republican" and then working to reform the party towards a much more Libertarian platform. Some Republicans at least mouth the words "limited government," which is more akin to Libertarian principles. Of course, a true Libertarian means much more by "limited government" than any Republican can fathom. So a guy like Ron Paul tried (unsuccessfully) to be something of a Libertarian Trojan horse.
Strategic success or failure is beside the point, btw. The point is that there are strategic reasons for a Libertarian to run as a Republican that have nothing to do with being "conservative" or "right," as you say.
