Let me just clarify once and for all how I look at what a candidate says he will do, and what happens if that candidate is elected. In a way, Trump is correct when he says all the bull he's been spouting are just "suggestions". Each candidate puts forth their "vision" as to what they are shooting for. Let's just take Obama as a recent case. Closing Guantanamo bay...need I say more on that other than how could it not be politically hard to do even with good intentions. Even after becoming president there was this;"If you like the plan you have, you can keep it. If you like the doctor you have, you can keep your doctor, too." Just one of the many things negotiated away during the process of development. It would only happen under certain circumstances as it turned out.
Political capital. Didn't really help much did it. But, two things each president does have a reasonable say in are appointments. Judicial, and the 7000+ political appointments. President does not have the purse strings, but influences by general appointments and policy. To keep this short, even though this only gives a glimpse into how I think about this, Hillary will introduce some polices I like but many political appointments that will help to reinforce the status quo.
Edit; and yes, I am sure. I have history on my side and Hillary is nothing if not consistent politically.
Bern and his everything free? Just a vision that would never be a reality. But to bring college costs way down is critical to evening out the field for the poor. Don't forget, students still need to cover room and board. Definitely a discussion for another day for me. Have a good day crankster

Followed by the above. Priceless!
Oh, so even that (half of which was quoted from Crankster) was too long for you? LOL
Wow, ROFL. Pretty pathetic.
Okay, you asked for it....

Continuing to invent "crimes" is a non-starter. The comparison to OJ is silly.
No invention needed. She creates her own.
"Silly?" Yeah, you're right. Her crimes are far more odious and sweepingly damaging than anything OJ did.
Sorry, OJ.

But your mischaracterization of her character is so off base there's no use discussing the election with you.
Your determination to elect her despite her obviously odious character (echoed even by the significant majority of Democrats) is so off base that there's no use discussing the election with you.

And he's not pushing any bills through the legislative process, to my knowledge.
And neither is Clinton.
Both pretty useless "representatives."

the GOP will likely still have a veto-proof majority in Congress
"Still?" What are you talking about?
Obama's vetos stand (even the threat of veto stands), and the Repubs can't muster the votes to override them. 2/3 is a high bar.

At least OJ was charged. Don't you really think that some hot-shot conservative prosecutor would love to make a name for himself by prosecuting and convicting Hillary Clinton...if he could? The mere fact that no prosecutor thinks he has a chance of convicting her (of anything) tells me that there really isn't much there--except for a partisan smear campaign.
Republicans know this well: the next best thing to a scandal is a phony scandal.

Hillary's "crimes" exist only in people's minds. Once planted there, they take root and grow like a bad weed.
Both pretty useless "representatives." She left the Senate in 2009.
outta the cesspool Ha! We have a pretty good back and forth here normally. Sorry if folks pushing back against your false charges offends you. Come back with some evidence for these "crimes" next time.

Federal prosecutors report (directly or indirectly) to the Attorney General.
The Attorney General (currently one Loretta Lynch) reports to the President (currently one Barack Hussein Obama).
Now explain again why you are surprised that Hills hasn't been charged?

Hillary or The Donald? This is America's best?
GCF posted:
Anyone remember swift boat veterans for truth? That nonsense has been revealed to have been a pack of lies with original accusers recanting.
Lots of he said, she said finger pointing on Kerry's Viet Nam service.
I think most people were more put off by Kerry's dishonest Winter Soldiers congressional testimony regarding alleged American atrocities during the war. Nearly all of his congressional accusations have been discredited.
The awarding of medals in a combat zone can be very political. The criteria for awards differs from service to service, and unit to unit within a given service. In addition, any officer in a combat zone who is not awarded a medal risks their military career advancements.
Certainly his 3 purple hearts are controversial considering he never missed a day of duty. But according to military protocol, Kerry was entitled, and it was common with all Swift Boat veterans.
The criteria for the Purple Heart call for its award for any injury received during combat requiring treatment by a medical officer; the military makes no distinction regarding the severity of the injury. Under military regulations, the Purple Heart can also be awarded for "friendly fire" wounds in the "heat of battle," so long as the fire is targeted "under full intent of inflicting damage or destroying enemy troops or equipment."
An article in the Boston Globe described the circumstances in which Purple Hearts were given to wounded Swift Boat personnel in Vietnam:
"'There were an awful lot of Purple Hearts—from shrapnel; some of those might have been M-40 grenades,' said George Elliott, Kerry's commanding officer. 'The Purple Hearts were coming down in boxes. Kerry, he had three Purple Hearts. None of them took him off duty. Not to belittle it, that was more the rule than the exception."[14] https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Kerry_military_service_controversy
Bottom line: None of us were with Kerry at that time. He was in country and he saw some real sh!t. I respect his service in a combat zone.
OTOH: Few politicians have milked their military service for political gain more than John Kerry.

"It's between a crazy person and a nice lady"
Craig, I also appreciated how Maher pointed out that Hillary really didn't vote "for the war" (the usual characterization) when in fact she voted "for the authorization" of the President to go to war. There is a difference and it's worth parsing. Shame more of the populace apparently lacks ability to do this.
.....
Mighty Hiker, you must have deleted a post when I wasn't looking. Read it this morning next to Crankster. I thought it was spot on, very good. You shouldn't do that. :)

and what was "dishonest" about Kerry's testimony
he had just come back from serving in Vietnam and felt strongly enough about our involvement and what he saw that he wished for congress to hear from a foot soldier
good for him and piss on the Republicans who tried real hard to denigrate his service

when, in fact, we have caused our own problems
So most of the people get shafted
Those who seek absolute power, even though they seek it to do what they regard as good, are simply demanding the right to enforce their own version of heaven on earth

Well, by that logic (or lack thereof) the FBI would have never investigated her emails in the first place.
