How well is austerity working for Greece and England?

El Cap,
First, I'm glad to see a chart that compares averages to averages (even if they're comparing average rates of changes). All too often, I see charts comparing total corporate profits or total income of the top 1% to average wages or, even more dishonestly, to average change in wages.
Unfortunately, I'm having some trouble reconstructing your graph from BLS and IRS data. What is the source of the graph?
Thanks.

How well is austerity working for Greece and England?
What policy would work better, considering that the Greeks have run out of other peoples' money, and the UK has been trying "inausterity" off and on for about 70 years?

The better question would be where did all that spending get them?

Actually England has been hovering near a recession since austerity measures were enacted. It has failed.
While Greece overspent, the screws have been tightened so much that they are now in a full blown depression.
Three million jobs were created thanks to the 2009 stimulus.
I think I'll pass on conservative economics.

A couple of pages back, TGT posted a couple of pics with the captions:
I want the TRUTH!
and
I Deleted the TRUTH!!
Outrageous, for sure.
But where was the outrage when this happened:
The Bush White House email scandal surfaced in 2007 during the controversy involving the dismissal of eight U.S. attorneys. Congressional requests for administration documents while investigating the dismissals of the U.S. attorneys required the Bush administration to reveal that not all internal White House emails were available, because they were sent via a non-government domain hosted on an email server not controlled by the federal government. Conducting governmental business in this manner is a possible violation of the Presidential Records Act of 1978, and the Hatch Act.[1] Over 5 million emails may have been lost or deleted.[2][3] Greg Palast claims to have come up with 500 of the Karl Rove lost emails, leading to damaging allegations.[4] In 2009, it was announced that as many as 22 million emails may have been deleted.[5]

" The repubs do a pretty bad job in enacting those policies (and a terrible job in the case of Bush), but the dems are even worse!
So how do explain the job growth with Clinton & Obama compared to his republican counterparts.

Seems like a "Thousand points of light" really worked out well.

Obama's economy is dismal. He has the worst employment numbers of any President in a long time.
Clinton on the other hand had the advantage of being a peace time president after the cold war ended...
It worked so well for him that not even lying under oath and banging the interns during office hours could dislodge him...

What are the current numbers and how do they compare with when he first took office?

There are less people working now than when he took office. Sorry, it's a fact...
EDIT: Bob, I don't give a sh#t about Bush. That is your thing. Besides, you are looking at the shiny thing. It is what Obama want's you to see (which as a sycophant you dutifully do...LOL!!!)

John, I don't recall the source of that data, I've had that chart on my desktop for years. But here's another from the CBO that makes essentially the same point, that the top 1% have seen the vast, vast majority of income gains (indeed many brackets have seen real income DECREASE and their share of national income decrease)

Is that the best you can do?
Looking at your photos seems like you have a huge hard-on/obsession for Hillary.

HermitMaster, we're here discussing The Donald, and how past GOP administrations have fared in the recent past. Because W is the closest we have to what a Republican administration stands for (after all, it was the Republicans who voted them in, twice), those who vote that way gotta dance to the music they brought.
Now, tell me again what was the state of the economy when Obama took office. I love to hear good ol' Republicans state those facts.
(Sorry if you're not one who votes Republican Hermit, but most of the Republicans I speak to say "Forget Bush...". Pretty funny, actually.)
