Dean Potter had such a cool pup. I hadn't seen this little vignette before. Love how Dean so effortlessly slides down the cable at 7-8 seconds in. What a pair.

I thought the film was excellent.
If you're just looking for spine tingling vertigo rowdiness, yes, just watch the clip.
If you're looking for insight, watch the whole film.
It's beautiful....and heartbreaking.

Whisper is doing well, she's surronded by Love and seems to be happy. That film is most excellent and worth buying. df

Yeah, Jefe, I get your point, but the narration is really...odd. He sounds like he's talking to a rather dim second grader. And who needs to see closeups of him spitting and flossing--really? I was hoping for some straight up talk about what he does, how, why, which kind of happens, but in a stilted way. Still, as an artifact from the great man, it's important.

I've seen this vid before and I've said it before, while Whisper looks as safe as Mr. Potter (maybe even safer), she looks scared to me.
I've done scary things before, but it was my choice. I'm ambivalent about taking someone along for the ride who doesn't have a choice.

I imagine that during the first flight, Whisper crapped the suit. But the real test would be whether or not he resisted if we was getting geared up for a second flight.
Folks do tandem flights all the time, instructors make sure everything is safe before they go. While BASE is risky, there are exits that are pretty darn safe.
