Yes, they're good-looking, but no, none of them is going to be nominated for a Nobel prize in theoretical physics.

John Ellis was the first to refer to a certain class of Feynman diagrams as penguin diagrams, due in part to their shape, and in part to a legendary bar-room bet with Melissa Franklin. According to John Ellis:

So alcohol was involved.

Hilarious! I like when the first one comes across the line, and is like, "Hey, what's this, some kind of joke?"

So alcohol was involved. well, that and other stuff, apparently...

Nice thanks!

Looks like they use what they have to get the job done, just like we do. I'll bet they think of themselves as geniuses, too, just like we do. :-)

What I really like about the video is the way the penguins all gather round and seem to be investigating and discussing this strange new thing. Sort of like a group of climbers encountering and unexpected stream crossing.

"WTF, dude. A stream?"
"Yeah, looks like."
"But here?"
"What are we going to do?"

And then finally, one climber wades in, finds it more difficult than imagined, slips and gets soaked, but eventually makes it safely to the other side. He calls back, "It's okay. I made it."

Whereupon the others all mill around again, and debate whether it really is okay, and what they should do about it...

Blonde penguin to the other blonde penguin: Why do we need to watch this twice?

The other blonde replies: I don't have a clue, either, except maybe they're Canadian penguins.

"You can't back up and you can't stand still."
If you're a penguin.
They had to waddle around to go back to where they came.
Their minds are not exactly "quicksilver."

Steve W, after watching the Epic Fails on the tag end of your vid post, it would seem that humans are BY FAR less geniusful than poor penguins.

It hurt to watch most of those fails!
