Yes I remember when he soloed Mescalito... for his first El Cap route! I'm proud to say Kia is one of my bros. He is definitely the Real Deal.
I don't think climbing supplies enough adrenaline for him these days tho.
He posts on here as Poop Tube.

Having soloed the Mighty Mescalito, Kia now figures he has done it all in the climbing world, and no longer even hangs with us on the bridge.
We miss him. He should come back and really set the world on fire. Like say solo Zodiac. ;)

Kristoffer, just informed me that I'm being talked about on here and that someone called me a turd sniffer. I was willing to bet that it was actually Zhe Zephyr himself that did such a thing. I think he just deleted before I came on. I'm still here! and Pete I'm still at the bridge, it's just that every time I'm there you're up on the wall, haha! Thanks guys, elcap was made possible back then due in large part by my friends that inspired who are posting up right here.
Yeah yeah, I'll get around to soloing elcap again sometime. It's just so dam hard!

I saw him this past weekend at 2AM free solo a fearsome offwidth first ascent in tennis shoes, no headlamp, and 4 beers in his belly!

Poop Tuuuuube!!!! I miss you and Darshahlu. You guys make life more interesting. You're an inspiration to get out of the office an into "real life".

By the way, I'm old and fat now and tell fellow gym climbers (during my 3 times I climb per year) about my real climbing friends from back in college.
