While we have a number of these thread for various reasons, nobody is more deserving than Ron.

Ron is a class act an a wonderful friend who will cover your back when you need it.

Of equal importance is his work and passion for helping wounded veterans of war with serious disabilities. His skills and love of his work and dedication to helping people who have suffered horrible life long injuries is beyond simple admiration.

Ron, my hat's off to you!

Ron is a class act!

From what I've seen of the TDF so far they could use someone like him to put the riders back together, but then he has a job with real heroes.

Ron is a genuine solid good guy and good company. He is always ready to help someone out and he deserves extra credit for watching out for The Bird!

Ron's one of a kind
He's a kind one of a kind
Of a kind of one

It's been my pleasure to have broken bread and shared salt with Ron among some mutual acquaintances.
I dare not imagine how we would have been had we shared a rope back when I never knew you and I can't say much about you because of that.

Hope to run into you again, Ron.

In addition to the two birds, there is THE Bird, Wayno, Eric and Mrs. Beck, Ramona Howard (OCF) and husband, RON, and Lynnie.

I met so many cool ones at those Oakdale gatherings and Ron Gomez is among the coolest.

That was some lunch, eh Mouse? That poor waitress, she had her hands full.

WOW! What a cool surprise....lost for words except, THANK YOU. Fonda thanks, most everyone that posted, I respect to a high degree, so to read your words, it hits home. Truly don't deserve this...it is just who we are as people and all the people I know that posted are EXACTLY the same way. A great group of friends to have and I'm blessed to know all of you.
Got one of the BEST jobs in the world working with our Wounded, Ill and Injured Marines and Sailors, even get to take em climbing as part of their recovery process.
To everyone that has or will post..A huge thank you for being part of my life and enriching me and my Bride Kelly!
Peace

Edit: I work with Wounded Warrior Regiment based out of Quantico, VA, Dept of Defense. We are the ones that work in recovery of the Wounded Ill and Injured service members. Not to be confused with the charitable orgs that attach Wounded Warrior to their names. They do a lot of good fund raising, I work in the rehabilitation field.

Wounded Warrior Worker? Thanks Ron!

Plus 10!!

I will be volunteering at another Stand Down gathering, locally, here in August.

For anyone who doesn't know, Stand Down is typically 3 day gatherings for homeless Vets, where they get some meals, some shelter, some vet camaraderie, medical attention and lots of information about services available to them that many are not even aware of.

That was my 50th Birthday Nita! It was a wonderful day, walked by myself on the trail late in the day, spent the night by myself, started my 50th Birthday all alone on top of Half Dome, walked down, left for Tuolumne and spent the rest of my Birthday in the Meadows.
Peace
