Hard times financially. Stuff gotta go. Buy something I never got around to using and make the wif happy to see it go.

Sorry to hear about the hard times. You have some good collectibles there.

Ring angles and bongos and tricams look sweet.

Thanks. I'm sure it's just a phase. All that gear is good to go. Bummed I didn't get to use some of it; but I won't get rid of my primary rack, much to the dismay of my wife, I'm sure.

As long as your primary gear is staying intact, I'll feel good about bidding or buying. Should we assume that the women's harness for sale implies that your wife isn't planning on climbing with you?

We had a spat some time ago, and I gave away her harness. Oops...

There were things she disliked about her old harness (gear loops being up top on the belt, causing them to roll it down, Camp Jade harness) so I bought two replacements and let her choose which she liked better. This one was not her choice, and it has only been tried on by her twice. She's actually willing to go climb with me. Once so far in the last three years, maybe twice. I'm keeping her harness just in case she gets a wild hair.

Thank you to those who bid or bought, and those who just came by for the trainwreck. ;)
Still some pins available.

Added two nearly complete racks of cams, ropes, more carabiners, and harnesses to the sell-off. Basically keeping one rack of gear for myself and wife, should she decide (bwa ha ha ha ha! yeah right...) to get back into climbing. Tried to put good prices and good descriptions on the stuff. Man, I f-ng hate starting every month off in the red.

When I die my wife is gonna sell my climbing sh#t off and take a world cruise on the proceeds. I have "requested" that she give each of my buddies a shot at being gifted any one thing they really want of mine and sell the rest.

I see her lusting on my climbing gear even now when she thinks I'm not looking. Together 35 year's as of now. We still crack each other up on our individual foibles. Sometimes I'll make little verbal notes to cause her to salivate even more: "Oh honey, see this little widget stamped "Dolt", this may look like sh#t, but one just like it fetched $XXX.00 on Ebay last month. LOL.

I'm goin to hell fer sure. Luck with teh sale, binge and purge baby, binge and purge!

What's with this "binge" stuff, couchmaster? The number of cams I need remains at n+1. That's not binging, it's merely bringing myself closer to being adequately equipped.

Oh, I binge-bought climbing gear. Running out of things to sell now. Offering some pins to a friend first, then putting the rest on the auction block too. Saving just enough personal gear to really get me in trouble.

Ha! I thought that the "buying way too much gear" insanity was only limited to me and a few other crazy's. Good to have company, and a scientific explanation with a formula as well. I've been able to execute the "binge" part fairly well. The "purge", however, is a whole 'nother beast I'm not comfortable at all even trying yet. Perhaps someday I will try that part as well.
