Somehow You Tube thought that I might like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VFBYJNAapyk
I think it's kind of scary when the internet has that much info on me.

A while back, Locker tried to teach me how to just click on the movie frame in order and just paste it on, but I still can't seem to figure it out. But, if you just copy it and paste it on You Tube it works pretty good. Maybe someone can help me out.

This guy really was quite an athlete! He was obviously a natural born climber. Hope you enjoy.

HERE IS THE VIDEO THAT 2_shoes WANTED TO SHARE
Harold Loyd In 'Safety Last' the silent movie climbing film. . . .

well yes that's cool, Harold Loyd, was injured before the final shoot,
that was the result of trying to light a cigaret off of what was thought to be just a movie prop, but was infact a live ordinance, a bomb! It blew off his left thumb and blinded him in one eye.
in some stills of him hanging off the clock you can make out a glove on his hand. the accident happened just two days before the final shoot,.....

but this is what my gnomes did for me on this fathers day, so it gets my vote

An old Gilbert Roland movie about a corrupt mountain guide that came out in the 1940s I think. Something like "The Unconquered" but I'm too lazy to look it up. Pretty good old school film with Roland dying in the final scene as his rappel rope comes undone and follows him down, streaming straight above him.

A mountain climber from America (Warren Douglas) is obsessed by his fear of the Matterhorn, where his father had died on an ascent. Other than begging the question of why he was pursuing mountain climbing to begin with, it does serve as a starting point for the plot. He refuses to climb it as part of a rescue party, which earns him the scorn of a guide (Gilbert Roland) who is his rival for the love of a local girl (Anna Lee). He finally agrees to make the climb and, during the ascent, the guide tries to kill him

Thanks for putting the Safety First video up.

Thank you for the detailed instructions.

"Three On A Rope" is a classic! This gets my vote for my new best climbing movie ever. A buddy of mine thought this was shot at Taquitz. That must have been the world's first base jump! What ever happened to "the leader must not fall"?

Tahquitz, San Antonio Falls and Stoney Point. Those are some of the old RCS guys, FAists at Tahquitz.
