This was an EXTRAORDINARY film. The young filmmakers of today are really creating something special.

This was a funny, poignant, touching work of art in a totally non sappy way.
Interspersed is climbing history from the Gunks to Tetons to Yosemite (primarily Robbins/Harding) with a young women's personal narrative of her father as a consummate dirt bag climber in the 1970s. He gave up academic scholarships when climbing called. Yet in later life as he became a father he took on those responsibilities with joy.

There were many shots and interviews from the climbing history part that were new to me (and I've seen many climbing movies). Oakley Anderson-Moore included many "home movie" clips of her as a toddler and young child playing in streams in the mountains and Yosemite. It was so fun to watch as Dad would zoom on her and without fail pan away to capture the surrounding mountains. Her narratives throughout were very moving with emotion, humor and at times irreverence.

The animation parts were A+++++ There were animated Sheridan Anderson cartoons as well as many original graphics.

I don't know if this is on the docket for Face Lift but it really ought to be. Within the genre of climbing movies this one is unique.

Just as Ms. Anderson-Moore told the story of her father of whom she's very clearly proud....her Dad must be brought to tears with pride about what a beautiful artisan daughter he has.

Please make every effort to see this beautiful movie.

^ nice informative review Susan. I look forward to checking it out when I can. I keep wanting to read it as "Brave New Wyde Moab", though.

I love the clips with JB etc on youtube and keep them on my iphone always. I will be exicted to see the whole movie when it comes to Colorado. You can leave the swag in Utah, though. We throw that stuff away on this side of the divide.
