Your office looks almost like mine--right down to the same globe. 1 Yamaha FG730 and an old Kentucky mandolin. No Clash poster, but I saw them open for The Who at the old Kingdome in 1982. My bike is a Norco Torrent with many mods. (With 27.5x2.8 who needs FS!) :-) Also, I only have one pair of BC skis. And a gun safe. Of course.

Bontrager made great bikes and Keith once coined a phrase that is HUGE amongst bike industry folks,

”Cheap,Light,Strong,.........Pick Two “

Jamatt, no support for your Asheville bros at Rockgeist? All good, your setup looks great. Ride on...

I had no idea RockGeist even existed. I'm way out of the loop. Defintely check them for any additional gear.

I eventually went with the Revelate Designs 14L Terrapin System. Seems to work pretty well so far.

It does not get the loving of my FS rides, but old school Titanium still rocks ...

How the heck is a Lynskey 29er with disk brakes old school?

Top of the line in '99! Doesn't hold a candle to modern FS bikes. But works just fine to get you up and down the mountain.

A coworker had it sitting his garage for years and was going to toss it in the garbage. I took it and tuned it up. Now it is sitting in my garage...

Bit like my packs....I live in the past. Retro bikes.....I have a garage full. My Amp B4 after a day out in the "Surrey slurry" on the Surrey Hills UK. Group of us did a retro ride.

It's been so warm this winter, barely below 0 until now, that I never got my hubs winterized, so now no riding at -36F. Boo hoo...
